When do babies get personality? Some say it doesn't hit until toddler-dom while others say it happens in the womb. Angelina Jolie seems to think it's around four months. The Hollywood starlet says of the two latest additions to her ever-expanding brood that her twins are smiley.
Yes, little Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline are already four months old. Mommy Ange claims they're really starting to come into their own, their personalities really starting to shine through. That sounds about right to me. I remember my son really started to, er, blossom (to keep up with the metaphors) when he was about three months. Now that I'm on baby number two, though, it seems like she's had personality--and one very different from her brother's--since she was conceived.
I'm sure Angelina has picked up on the twins' nuances a lot more and a lot earlier now that she's already been through the process with Shiloh and watched her older kids develop. Real question is, what kind of personalities do the twinnie's have--and will we/the proud parents like them as they develop? Will the kids be mini-philanthropists? Hard to say. Most likely they'll all want to go into show business like their parents, who will try to steer them clear of such things but eventually give in anyway.

ame s said...Although very similar in looks, intelligence & temperment, the differences of my daughters did seem to appear as soon as I felt movement in my womb.
It seems that my older daughter has been moving as long as she has had limbs ;) While still in my tummy, if she wasn't rolling, flip flopping, poking, kicking, she had hic-ups. She has always moved around, even in her sleep, even now at age10.
When I was pregnant with my 8 year old,she was so "still" it was concerning. There were several doctor visits where they strapped that vibrating/humming thing on my stomach to try to "wake her up" to get a reading. To date, once she falls asleep, she doesn't change position at all until she wakes up. I think that's the reason our oldest cat prefers sleeping with her. I and my older girl move all night long. My husband, of course, just loves this, ha!

lisa said...To be honest with you, I don't know why this is news worthy and article worthy. I certainly hope her children have personalities. What I find unusual that a mother of that many children can be surprised by that fact.

Waz said...I don't believe Angie was surprised that her twins are getting their pesonalities. I don't read that in the article. Did I miss something? I think Jennifer Jordan, the writer is pointing it out. People that dislike Angelina and Brad just won't give them a break. No matter what the article says.
