What I find interesting is that they want their privacy but yet they're interviewed by Barbara Walters and on Larry King last night. Please give me a break. They are both freaks and it is absolutely disgusting, not that SHE wants to be a man, but that SHE is having a baby assuming the role of a man, which she is not, because she hasn't had surgery. How she is legally a man baffles me. Quit giving these people attention and they'll disappear.

All I hear about in the news these days is how this person is threatening that guy and so on. Its sad to say but even a threat is an act of terrorism. The people who are pulling this are in my opinion hypocrites, Weather or not we agree with something that someone else is doing is our choice but before you pass judgment on someone else as does the media everyday of many's lives we should really dig down and realize what is wrong with yourself, nobody is perfect. Look back in history and learn about people who were assassinated, There was someone who didn't agree with them, and what did it bring? someone ending up in jail, what happened to his or her family? They were probably devastated in some way, and what does that teach anyone? Not much but "Those who do not know their history are condemned to repeat it" Its sad to see how our country to where many dont like the fact that there is terrorists and terrorism somewhere in the world are creating terrorism themselves.

I'm not sure I understand any of what you were trying to say. You obviously tried to make a connection with the gay lifestyle. I'm not sure what school you did or didn't graduate from, but please get an education before you post another comment here. Your comment about "lesbians" having to use toys to emulate male body parts & gay men trying to "look feminine" is so asinine it's beyond words. You obviously don't know very many gay people (if any at all). You know nothing of the gay lifestyle or you wouldn't make these false generalizations. You've watched way too much network TV or too many movies which portray gays & lesbians in a stereotypical & negative way. Please, please get to know a gay person or two before you make any further comments. You, unfortunately, typify what's wrong with a lot of society & their view toward gays.

This is not a man having a baby. He is a woman who decided to have a sex change. She has feamale organs in side her -him. NOT A MAN HE IS A WOMAN. They are doing this for the attention and that is just what they are getting. She a woman is having a baby not him. She look's like a man but is a woman. It is crazy. Forget all of you jerks! Thomas is a brave MAN, trying to have a family the only way he know how. I applaud he and his wife for their bravery, but of course the backlash of going public should have been expected and adequately prepared for.
I wish them, their little girl, and their unborn the best of luck and long prosperous lives'.

FYI: All of the delusionals who comment about God's will are just nuts. We could never know the will of such an impersonal balancing force in nature.

If this is a so called woman then be proud to be a woman. A woman having a baby is how it is supposed to be whether or not SHE has had an operation or not. Women with breast cancer, cancer in the uterous and so on should be offended. Trying to say that because of operations a female becomes a male! Women should be angry being this is trying to say they are not needed to have a baby. Men should be angry being a "woman" says "she" is a "man" having a baby. My opinion " she is a psycologically damaged confused woman that wants attention". I do feel so sorry for the kids that will come of this. Did the "real man" that donated sperm agree to this? I certainly hope not! The media shares equal blame on this! They should NEVER had said this was a man having a baby. IT'S NOT! If these so called parents really love kids they would correct this. If they think threats against them are bad. What do they think will happen to the kid?

JoAnn said it very well....Thomas Beatie is a transgendered person who is anatomically female ...thus retaining the ability to become pregnant. Although he identifies himself as male, he was biologically female at birth. This is not really the story of a man giving birth.

I also question the publicity issue...news of the pregnancy may have leaked to the media eventually, but the Beatie's certainly did not need to deal with nine months of intrusion into their personal lives until the baby is born. They themselves must have alerted the media.

All that being said, their first child is beautiful, and I pray that neither of their children are affected adversely by the circumstances of their births. Children are precious, and should not be subject to ill will in real life or on message boards. God bless these precious little angels and please grant them the gifts of good health (mentally and physically), and a stable, strong, loving family to grow up in. Yes, the Beatie's family circumstances are unique, but that does not give anyone the right to threaten them with harm. Despite the choices we make in this life, we are all children of the same loving God. Let's all try to practice the Golden Rule, and not wish anything onto this family that we would not want to happen to our own families.

While I understand the desire of Thomas and his wife to have a family, I don't know why they have put themselves out there into the public eye. Did they need the money from appearing on TV talk shows? I admit I was intrigued when I first heard about the "pregnant man" during Thomas' first pregnancy, I pretty much lost interest when I learned Thomas is a pre-op transexual.

All of you are very un educated...gender is in the mind...genitals are a physical adaptation to procreate. He is male with female parts....nature loves differences....society hates them.Everyone is born with female anatomy fisrt..dows that mean all men were once female?? or if a man loses his genetalia do you think without that part of him he is now female???and men with gynomastia(large breasts) does that mean he is half female ?? No of course not becasue that is ANATOMY.. HE would still be aman as Thomad beattie is. You all who disagree arent intelligent enough to even have your confused little comments mean anything here.

Recently they have been appearing on numerous talk show. This AM they were on the KTLA News here in Los Angeles. Last night they were on Larry King Live and then of course Barbara Walters did an hour show with them. I am sure they are being paid for these interviews or they would not be doing them. I really don't care what they do what I do care about is that I need to have this thrown in my face The interviews and the questions are stupid. There are far more interesting people to report on then these people.
