Ashlee Simpson Gives Birth!!!

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has given birth to a baby boy! Singer (and sometimes lip-syncher) Simpson and her rocker husband, Pete Wentz of the surprisingly catchy little band Fallout Boy, welcomed Bronx Mowgli Wentz into the world this past Thursday. Yes, you read that name right. Bronx. As in the borough. And Mowgli, as in the Jungle Book, I imagine. Simpson and Wentz wed this past May.
The twenty-four-year-old little sister of Jessica Simpson seemed as though she was pregnant forever (and I'm sure she felt like it, too) and endured tons of rumors about whether or not she was carrying twins in her belly, which continued to get bigger and bigger, reminding many of the ill-fated (but humorous) pregnancy in the camp horror movie Slither.
Interestingly enough, and more so than the name, which no one seems to be questioning--hey, in a world where "Zuma" flies, why not "Bronx?" It worked for the Beckhams, who have son Brooklyn, the best borough ever--everyone seems rather concerned with where Ashlee delivered her son. Speculation rests on Cedar Sinai in LA. No other details such as weight and length were available as of press time, but People.com may have more info soon. Will Ashlee hit the tour trail any time soon? Will she and Pete refuse little Bronx a life in the world of music? Will she be back to her tiny self ten days after giving birth? We'll just have to wait and see. Until then, let's hope she and Pete get to enjoy their wonderful new son.
