DailyDish - Turn Off Your Holiday Lights at Night
Filed under: Holidays
Whether you're lighting a Christmas tree, Hannukah candles or a Kwanza bush, turn everything off and blow everything out before you hit the sack to avoid fires.
Yes, there is nothing prettier than driving by a house at night with its lovely holiday lights lit up, but when the rest of the house lights go out, so should those that are festive. Same goes for whenever you leave the house, and that's for lights both inside and out. During the holidays we do a lot o rushing around with errands and shopping--make sure to turn off the lights before you leave the house and make sure to check the tree's water (if you have a live one) daily.
