Alaska's First Baby Will Be a Boy
Filed under: Bump Watch, Celeb Kids
And apparently, it's a boy!
Palin's father, Chuck Heath, let is slip that Alaska's most famous unmarrieds are having a son. When asked about a name, he joked, "Oscar . . . No, I'm just kidding. They don't have a name for it yet."
Hmm. I wonder if anyone has suggested Zamboni?
Top Baby Names 2008
The results are in and the top baby names for 2008 have been determined according to Babycenter.com. And despite the celebrity weirdness of late (Zuma Nesta Rock? Bronx Mowgli?) average parents are sticking with average names for their offspring.
For boys, Aiden retained his spot as the number one name (a position held since 2005), followed by Jayden, Ethan and Jacob. For the girls, Emma made a return to the number one position, knocking off last year's Sophia and beating out Isabella and Olivia. Seeing as how this was an election year, it isn't surprising to find that presidential names were popular with lots of boys being named Jackson and Tyler and girls getting Madison, Taylor and Kennedy.
Babycenter's editor-in-chief, Linda Murray says the results show a trend toward classic and old-fashioned names. "Times have changed and people are taking the world more seriously, affected by what is going on the world," she said.
Yes, it seems that most parents don't want their children being teased and chose names that would reflect something positive about them. For boys, parents said they wanted names that represented strength, kindness and compassion, compared to the strength and individuality they were going for in 2007. For girls, parents were looking for something that expressed kindness, compassion, intelligence and strength. Last year, they were looking for femininity and individuality.
I can't help but notice that for both boys' and girls' names, parents seem to have lost the desire for names that express individuality. Why do you suppose that is?

Why would it be Heath? That's Sarah Palin's maiden name. I'm assuming it will be either Palin or, more likely, Johnston (the father's last name).

The title of this story does not even make sense. Look back and see how much of this is actual story, and what else is a filler, how did this one slip past the editor? You know, not all Americans are ignorant enough to just start jumping all over politicians for no reason, your honestly just as bad as them.

caroline kennedy has a little more than celebrity under her belt. i think they call it knowledge of the law. which you get in law school and prove you remember when you pass the bar.
oh yeah, and a long history of public service where she wasn't screaming for her headlines. i think they call it leading a subtle life.
all that to say i'd trust her b4 i'd trust that alaskan governor who can't put 2 words together to make any sense.

This would have really put America on a new low around the world. American's teenagers do NOT need to see a pregnant teenager in the white house. A teenage girl does not need to be in the public spotlight. She should have been ashamed herself. I would have stayed home. And above that, Sarah Palin had the audacity to parrot her retarded child in front of everybody. I suppose she felt that all America would feel sorry for her and vote for her anyway. It was not so much that, but her dumbness about just about everything. Sarah Palin has no morals at all. If she did, she would have never allowed McCain to parade her pregnant daughter in front of all America and the world. I know unmarried teens are having babies, but it does not need national tv exposure.

Pinkbaloney said...Corrine, having a pregnant teenager in the White House wouldn't have put America in "a new low". It just goes to show that the Palin's are a normal all American family, and the world doesn't need unthought-out comments like yours. People are rude in this world, thats the new low, just like you. And next time think before you act

Corrine said...I still say it's a damn shame for a teenager to get pregnant. Babies should wait for marriage. I had a teenager pregnant and she prays daily that she should have waited for school, and then marriage and then babies. Sarah Palin's daughter did not practice what her mother was preaching.
Morals in America have reached an all time high and for Sarah Palin to parade her teenage daughter for all the world to see, was not cute. I would have been ashamed. Just because "everyone is doing" does not make it right.
America has become a country of immorals. It is no joke that the things that happens to us is just that, happenstance. God is watching is He is not pleased. Read your Bible (Sodom and Gommorah).
Sarah Palin and her family is a bunch of low-life, hillbillies that have no morals. I know you saw her youngest daughter spitting in her hand and rubbing that little retarded baby's head. That was just NASTY. A seven year old would NOT have even been holding my baby in the first place.
What I am trying to figure out is, How in the hell did Sarah Palin get elected governor of a state? It is obvious that she is dumb as dirt. I don't blame Hilary Clinton, I would not want to be in the same room with her either. Sarah Palin opened her mouth on national TV and now everyone in America knows she is in a position that she clearly does not deserve. Sarah Palin and her family disvalues is the kind of person that brings down the morals of America. Sarah Palin talks a good game, but she cannot deliver on nothing. I pray she does not think so much of herself that she would run for President on her own. Nobody with good sense will vote for that nut-job. Be truthful now, would you rather have an empty-headed, obviously uninformed woman or a Harvard educated, decent, handsome and very astute young man as President.
I am so glad America saw it my way and voted Mr. Obama in. Can you really see Sarah Palin and that brood of her's in the White House? Talk about having a bbq on the front lawn, think about having all kinds of loose people running around the white house, having sex in every room, without any restraints. Her daughter will just go wild up in there.
If Sarah Palin would have gotton elected along with McCain, the white house would have to be burned down and another one built.
Ha! Ha! Ha!
Yes, America needs to get ahold of her morals again.

I wonder if it will be a C-section, since it is being confirmed
that it will be born on Dec. 20.
Bristol seems young and healthy, I believe they should let her try to deliver vaginally.
I Hope all goes well. I wonder if the last name of the baby will be Heath or Palin?

Shannon said...Laurie read the article, it says she is due Dec 20th. That just means the doctor has given her a due date. It does not mean she will have the baby on that date. It could be up to 2 weeks after or any day from now till then. The only reason they would schedule a C-section for a teenager is if the baby was breech (which means turned the wrong direction, lol) or if there was a health risk for the mother or the baby.
