Tiny German Lovebirds Elope to Africa
Categories: Kids 5-7, Weird But True
Why? Because they were eloping at least 15 years too soon.
Mika and Anna-Lena, ages 5 and 6, are "very much in love," and decided during a joint family holiday celebration that they wanted to seal the deal. So they grabbed Anna-Lena's seven-year-old sister (an official witness), packed their bags, then jumped on a tram.
Had it not been for those pesky necessities like money and tickets, they may have gotten even farther. But the police at the train station got suspicious and brought them in.
Can you even imagine? Once the shock wears off, their parents are going to be re-telling that story for years to come. When my godson was born just a month before my daughter, my friend and I joked that we should just start planning the wedding now. But even if these families saw puppy love developing between these intrepid tots, I'm sure they figured they had at least a few years before the kids made it official!

These kids have seen their parents watch Out of Africa one to many times. This would be so cute if it weren't so dangerous. At least they weren't like the 4 year old on the news today that shot his babysitter.

Your right it is sweet, but dangerous. On the other subject no 4 year-old should know know how to use a gun.

Hmmm, I'd love to meet these kids. Just to see what a completely fearless 5 year old is like. I don't think most kids would even want to be out of their parents site in a strange place for very long.

Now that's the part I don't think would have happen. But the Lord knew the pureness of their hearts and kept them from danger.
Let's be thankful.

Joe no one is going to marry them. The thing is they thought out the idea to get married.

Thank goodness all three children were found and returned safely to their parents. They are certainly very independent and apparently quite resourceful! I never made it out of the front yard whenever I "ran away" as a child. I bet their parents will be keeping much closer tabs on them in the future. Definitely a great family story.

i don't think its cute at all. my first reaction was that that was a very dangerous thing to do. i'm glad we're reading about three kids who were found alive rather than dead. parents should keep a closer eye, for heaven's sake.

yes I agree. Wondering how they got that far, all 3 of them, without an adult? I am shocked that so many, even the media, made this into such a "Cute" story with no regard as to the seriousness of the matter.
Just recently in the United States, a child wandered out of their home at night and down the street to a store and just so happened the store was unlocked and they found the child inside playing with the toys. That child was taken away from the parents by Children Services.

Awww! That is so cute! (They even knew they needed a witness? They were serious, that's so adorable!)
Sure, it was dangerous... but they got home safe, and right now that's probably all that matters~

It would have never lasted anyway. They would have been divorced by age 9.

It might have, they are not from the states where the definition of marriage is divorce.
