Booty Caller Tells You When It's Time For Baby-Making
Filed under: Gadgets, Sex, Gear Guides: Pregnancy
As far as naughty text messages go, BabyCenter's Booty Caller (a.k.a. ovulation alerts) are G-rated. But getting one on your cell phone does mean a romantic night is in your future.Women really only have about five fertile days a month. If you're trying to make a baby, knowing when those days are can help you focus your ... er ... efforts. Though not everyone has a perfect 28-day cycle, if your cycle is normal than it's fairly simple to predict when those days are going to be. BabyCenter makes it even easier by sending you a text message letting you know it's time for action.
The service is free (standard text messaging rates apply), and also offers some basic fertility tips. And as booty calls go, it's surprisingly polite and helpful: "Your fertile window opens today and lasts 5 more days. Stress can get in the way of conception so relax and get a massage, meditate, or take a yoga class." See? Very thoughtful.
Did you use an ovulation kit or reminder to help you conceive?
