Angelina Jolie: Octuplets Mom Creeps Me Out
Categories: Newborns, Celeb Parenting, In The News
And although Suleman says she doesn't give a hoot about Jolie ("I have never thought of Angelina Jolie except the last time I saw one of her movies. I think that was years ago. It is so far away from the place I'm in right now, to think of any celebrity"), friends and family of Suleman say the mother of 14 secretly envies the Oscar winner.

The Southern California woman who gave birth to octuplets on Jan. 26 had the embryos implanted at a Beverly Hills clinic run by a controversial doctor, it was revealed Monday. Here, Dr. Michael Kamrava is shown performing an ultrasound on a pregnant Nadya Suleman in 2006. In addition to the octuplets, Suleman has six other children, ages 2 to 7.

Suleman is shown with two of her children in 2006. The single mom told NBC's 'Today' show that she was "fixated" on having children. She said all 14 of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilization with sperm donated by a friend. She said she used the same doctor for all her pregnancies.

Suleman looks at an ultrasound of her unborn twins in 2006. She told NBC that she is not "living off the taxpayers," but she has accepted food stamps. RadarOnline.com reported that she is living in a hotel room, although it's not clear who is paying for the room.

NBC's 'Today' broadcast footage Monday of Suleman visiting her octuplets in the California hospital where they were born Jan. 26. There are six boys and two girls.

A combination picture shows the octuplets. Clockwise from top left are: Josiah, Makai, Jeremiah, Nariyah, Jonah, Noah, Maliyah and Isaiah. All share the middle name Angel and the last name Solomon.

Suleman did not disclose the name of her doctor, but she said on 'Today' that she went to the West Coast IVF Clinic in Beverly Hills. Its director is Kamrava, shown being followed by reporters Monday. Kamrava, 57, would not comment, but told reporters outside his clinic on Rodeo Drive that he had granted an interview to one of the television networks.

Kamrava enters his office Monday. Some fertility specialists have questioned his methods. "He's tried some novel techniques and some of those methods have been controversial," said Dr. John Jain, founder of Santa Monica Fertility Specialists. Ethicists have questioned the decision to implant so many embryos in Suleman, saying the health of both the mother and babies were at risk.

Without identifying the doctor, the Medical Board of California said last week that it was investigating Suleman's physician to see whether there may have been "a violation of the standard of care." The board said Monday it has not taken any disciplinary action against Kamrava in the past.

This is the building where Kamrava's clinic is located. Many have questioned why a doctor would help a single woman with six young children and no visible means of support to conceive more babies.

What's more, a source close to Jolie (mother of six) says it's not just reading about Suleman in the media that triggers her irritation. Apparently Suleman has reached out to Jolie several times over the past year, sending her fan mail congratulating her on her humanitarian efforts. .
Says the source: ''At least she wasn't a total crazy...like the stalkers who try to actually meet Angelina and follow along with the paparazzi. It is clear this woman needs psychological help. It's one thing to clip out a celebrity's photo from a magazine and ask your [hair] stylist to copy that cut. Who hasn't done that? But to have a nose job, have collagen injections in your lips and start talking like Angelina -- that's over the top.''
Let's go over the similarities between Suleman and Jolie.
•Both are age 33 and famous for being a mom.
•Both wanted to be single mothers.
•Both have strikingly similar features -- Suleman has been accused of having plastic surgery on her lips and nose to resemble the actress.
•Suleman agreed to sit down with Ann Curry for her first interview with the media. Curry has long been Jolie's most consistent interviewer, flying around the world with the star throughout the years.
Sure, I am just speculating but the resemblance is striking. What do you think?

I think we should leave her alone, that's right leave her alone. Maybe if we do that, she'll just go away. California will still have to deal with her, but I consider that just compensation for having put Pelosi in power. Suleman is a perfect example why I hate social programs regulated by the government.

Derek,
I wholeheartedly agree with you regarding government DICTATING how our hard earned money will be spent. With government DICTATING on the rise, we will see more and more women coming up with strategies for income without paying into the system. I do not mind helping the needy, but I get out and work everyday and I believe I should have that right.
In my opinion this women is a criminal child abuser. I would say she thought and thought of how to have a windfall without ever working. I think she may be surprised by the backlash of people who see what she done as abusive.
It does not appear that she would know the truth if she tripped over it
As far as comparing her to Angelina Jolie, she could only wish that where true. Angelina appears to be beautiful inside and out.

for Gods sake leave the woman alone....if you are perfect then you can criticize another human being...in not ...say nothing...we are supposed to be helping each other down here not tearing each other apart...its not rocket science..I have a friend who is 86 years old and she says that if she could take back every negative thing she ever said about anyone in her life ..she would, without exception...it is not our job to judge

Are you serious, Pelosi's fault? What does having 14 children have to to with Pelosi? obviously you have issues with the government not with some lady having 14 children with no financial stability. This lady is a MESS, she lies and gets caught each and every time.
first she said she wasn't getting any assistance from anywhere. Lie, she went through her 50,000 student loans. How does someone use student loans to support their children? I've had to submit my rcpts and get everything approved first. Then she said she doesn't get government assistance, another lie, she gets 490.00 of food stamps a month.

Hi Derek, your comments were right on. I agree wholeheartedly with your assessment of this unbalanced creature. She already has three special needs children already , and who knows what type of physical/mental issues these eight infants may have.

I agree with you. All the media attention will just make some other woman want to have 9 or 10 children at once just to become "famous". The goverment supplimented this disaster so let California keep paying for their mistakes. I pray for the 14 children who are the victims of this horrendous travisty. They will be the ones to suffer for the rest of their lives - not their nutty mother.

Derek, my friend, couldn't have said it better myself. HILARIOUS. As for the octuplets situation, this story just gets weirder and weirder. The whole thing, from beginning to end, is bizarre and only gets more so with each new report. Probably all this media attention is exactly what the loony mom hoped for, but what I hope for is a decent life for all 14 of her innocent kids.

This is someone who clearly needs help with the very evident, very plentiful insecurities she's dealing with, and unfortunately she's about to put these onto all of these children before she gets help.
I don't think she really fully understands what she's about to get herself and her family into after the hype dies down.
And if I were Angelina, I'd be a little disgusted too!

Angelina Jolie is creeped out by HER????? LOLOLOL!!! This is a woman who wore a vial of blood around her neck, french-kissed her brother, deliberately planned to give birth in a third-world country, and broke up a marriage. Oh puhleeeeze! And to all of you out there passing judgement, be careful when you start deciding who should have kids and how many is enough. Nazis thought they knew best too. And China already limits childbirth. Thank goodness we live in America where we get to make those decisions for ourselves....for now. If you don't want people sponging off of welfare, reform welfare!

Angelina creeps me out

I agree. This woman is a perfect example of Social Programs pushed by Dems, with no restrictions, ONLY REWARDS for those who make the choice to live on our money. Unbelievable
the1theonlysmith 2-17-2009 @ 1:50PM
Derek, I agree with you about leaving the lady alone, except for one thing, I live in CA , and we are on the edge of bankruptcy. When we filed our taxes, we were given a yellow paper explaining that there is no money to give back... yet. Well I won’t be holding my breath. Meanwhile, thousands are getting benefits, and they are not eligible. Not to mention all the other cases that are fraudulent. It is really sad when a grown adult can apply for social security benefits for being ADD!!!!
This lady is crazy for having more kids when she can’t even financially take care of the 6 she already had. Then she wants to go back to school?!?!! Who is going to pay for that, or more importantly the child care. Is she high??
Muse 2-17-2009 @ 1:32PM
I think the firtility doctor should have to pay to raise these children!
He had to know she already had six, was on support and single. Why should this be the taxpayers burden?
Who paid for her firtility treatment.... that stuff cost my friend over several thousand?
One of her children has autism. How will she give it quality time with this many other kids.
This is a sheer sign of neglect and selfishness on this womans part.
All these poor kids need loving homes with parents that can give them attention and provide for them.
Anne Theresa 2-17-2009 @ 1:54PM
Derek, what do goverment social programs have to do with her PAYING a doctor to implant 14 embryos. Maybe if we had some government regulations this wouldn't have happened.

Who cares? Leave her alone. Who cares how she does it, or why. It isn't any of our business.
vickie 2-17-2009 @ 3:07PM
I agree.....keeping her out of the spotlight.....no sponsers,no movies,no television interviews......means no money....that I agree.....but as far as help from the government....there are too many good woman left raising kids because their husbands "jumped ship" they need help...not everyone is crazy like suleman.
Tracy 2-17-2009 @ 4:14PM
EnoughAlready, I love you! I couldn't have said it better myself. Angelina has some nerve. They are both trash and God help those poor children. Their quality of life may be good for a hot minute while the money is coming in. The Angelina wannabe will blow it. I can't begin to imagine the amount it will cost the good working class taxpayer to pick up this tab. It makes me angrier every time I think about those poor children.
Cindy 2-17-2009 @ 4:20PM
I really hate to judge anyone, because I truly don't have the right. I, do, however, feel such fear for these children who are forced to live a life based solely on what their mother takes from others. What happens to them when the money runs out? As far as the Nazi comment; the Nazis murdered people, I think someone should step in and save these little lives by giving them to parents who would be able to love, nurture and provide for them themselves. If she keeps the babies, the government has no choice but to help, or then they would be the Nazis. It is a sad situation for those innocent little babies to be in. What was she thinking??
