And although Suleman says she doesn't give a hoot about Jolie ("I have never thought of Angelina Jolie except the last time I saw one of her movies. I think that was years ago. It is so far away from the place I'm in right now, to think of any celebrity"), friends and family of Suleman say the mother of 14 secretly envies the Oscar winner.

The Southern California woman who gave birth to octuplets on Jan. 26 had the embryos implanted at a Beverly Hills clinic run by a controversial doctor, it was revealed Monday. Here, Dr. Michael Kamrava is shown performing an ultrasound on a pregnant Nadya Suleman in 2006. In addition to the octuplets, Suleman has six other children, ages 2 to 7.

Suleman is shown with two of her children in 2006. The single mom told NBC's 'Today' show that she was "fixated" on having children. She said all 14 of her children were conceived through in vitro fertilization with sperm donated by a friend. She said she used the same doctor for all her pregnancies.

Suleman looks at an ultrasound of her unborn twins in 2006. She told NBC that she is not "living off the taxpayers," but she has accepted food stamps. RadarOnline.com reported that she is living in a hotel room, although it's not clear who is paying for the room.

NBC's 'Today' broadcast footage Monday of Suleman visiting her octuplets in the California hospital where they were born Jan. 26. There are six boys and two girls.

Suleman did not disclose the name of her doctor, but she said on 'Today' that she went to the West Coast IVF Clinic in Beverly Hills. Its director is Kamrava, shown being followed by reporters Monday. Kamrava, 57, would not comment, but told reporters outside his clinic on Rodeo Drive that he had granted an interview to one of the television networks.

Kamrava enters his office Monday. Some fertility specialists have questioned his methods. "He's tried some novel techniques and some of those methods have been controversial," said Dr. John Jain, founder of Santa Monica Fertility Specialists. Ethicists have questioned the decision to implant so many embryos in Suleman, saying the health of both the mother and babies were at risk.
Nick Ut, AP
Without identifying the doctor, the Medical Board of California said last week that it was investigating Suleman's physician to see whether there may have been "a violation of the standard of care." The board said Monday it has not taken any disciplinary action against Kamrava in the past.

This is the building where Kamrava's clinic is located. Many have questioned why a doctor would help a single woman with six young children and no visible means of support to conceive more babies.

What's more, a source close to Jolie (mother of six) says it's not just reading about Suleman in the media that triggers her irritation. Apparently Suleman has reached out to Jolie several times over the past year, sending her fan mail congratulating her on her humanitarian efforts. .
Says the source: ''At least she wasn't a total crazy...like the stalkers who try to actually meet Angelina and follow along with the paparazzi. It is clear this woman needs psychological help. It's one thing to clip out a celebrity's photo from a magazine and ask your [hair] stylist to copy that cut. Who hasn't done that? But to have a nose job, have collagen injections in your lips and start talking like Angelina -- that's over the top.''
Let's go over the similarities between Suleman and Jolie.
•Both are age 33 and famous for being a mom.
•Both wanted to be single mothers.
•Both have strikingly similar features -- Suleman has been accused of having plastic surgery on her lips and nose to resemble the actress.
•Suleman agreed to sit down with Ann Curry for her first interview with the media. Curry has long been Jolie's most consistent interviewer, flying around the world with the star throughout the years.
Sure, I am just speculating but the resemblance is striking. What do you think?

I wonder how they feel to know they where not enough. The interview defined how self centered she really is. All she could say was "I really wanted" "I needed". She never mentioned the burden that she was putting on her children and parents.

Fact is she love the kids and I am certain time will prove her a better mother than most. Personally I have retired as master of the universe and life is much better. Perhaps your life is perfect. I do not know.

for the publics help or receive any social services benefits. if you knew anything abouth the duggars you would know they built there own house with their own money & don't have any debt. so what if
the older children help watch the younger ones. how many families
do you know that has all of there children playing an instrument? let
alone 2-3-4 instruments all very well.

The subject matter is somewhat disgusting , to say the very least,
and if everyone will ignore her , she will go away. This is a family problem that must be solved by them alone. No one in the general public cares who she might favor, what cosmetic surgeries she has had, or how she is paying for all the bills she has incurred by her own hand. And the medical board will deal with the doctor involved, therefore, no one has a responsibility to follow this either.
Good ridance when you finally do fade away!

Uh, Jeannie, although I don't care in the least how she paid for her cosmetic surgery (unless it was due to the State funded "disability" payments she receives from the State for herself and at least 3 of her younger children, I DO care about how she, I mean we, are paying for all the bills her family of 15 is now incurring! You see, I live in CA, work, pay my taxes, CA is broke, laying off State workers, cutting education spending, raising our taxes, sending IOU's in lieu of State tax refunds, and now will be paying her "incurring" bills!
Maybe she would be welcomed in your State?

I want to know how she can be getting SSI benefits when she is capable of lifting 14 children as I saw her do in some videos. I know people who have terrible disabilities and are turned down by SSI.
This makes me sick.

She did this intentionally, this was not a act of God it was the act of a manipulative woman and her Doctor. We do not owe her a Monthly check for children she willing conceived through artificial means. She is using her children as a way to survive and pay for plastic surgery. Professionals have all said she has obviously had some work done. A Mother who cannot adequately feed and house her children without Government help and then goes in to expand her family is selfish. Her children should be her first and utmost concern and she certainly has shown this is not the case. I feel she should be stripped of the payee status of her children’s Social security, she should have to have psychological testing and Parenting classes. The new babies should not be sent home with her until she can prove she can manage them all as well as her other 6.
Her habitual lying should be concern, and the Sperm Donor who she said knows of the ways she lives should never of agreed to donate again. He should also be held accountable for some of this. The Doctor, the Sperm Doctor and Naydia herself are all responsible. People are not bad mouthing her to be cruel they are bringing up valuable points. For those who believe that she is right, I hope they do not mind high Taxes, Children who are not stable and who live off the system because we now have 14 more and all due to a woman who says she wants to be a psychologist. What she really needs is her own personal psychologist.

He should pay for all (16) kids until they are 21. I would not give this women a penny and I hope no one else will either. She is already getting free diapers for all kids - that is a big savings. I will place a bet that someone will buy her a brand new mini bus (with new car seats) to take the kids home from the hospital. Oh, speaking of home (I am sure someone will build her a new one for her and the 14 kids).
I am 42 and single and can not afford one child - so therefore I am not having one. I could go on forever about this crazy women having a litter of children. And I pray for their sakes (and gov't) that they are all healthy and we do not have to support them any longer than we have too.

Nadya LOOKS like Jolie? Look again.. look closely. I don't know if she had any surgery to look like Jolie, or if she's obsessed by the actress or not. But I can 'see', and from my view, Nadya is much prettier than Jolie... and still, what difference does it make? It's just a bunch of BS to continue the saga of the so-called crazy mom of 8.
And what next? Will the father or fathers turn out to look like Brad?

Kathy said...In reading all of the prior posts, I am struck by the comments on this mother. My concern is not with her.....whats done is done, it cannot be changed now. What concerns me are the children. Instead of bashing the mom shouldn't this energy be spent on ways to help the children given the situation? Suggestion, the government could put someone in place to manage the finances for this woman to insure the children receive the care they need and the revenue which she receives is spent in the proper way to feed, clothe and care for these children. My thoughts are with them at this time as they are the ones that have the potential to be greatly affected.....

Jim said...you want the government to pay (tax dollars) to moniter her money? what money? she is a thief stealing from scholarship programs and welfare! She should be in jail and then atleast if my tax dollars are being spent on the children maybe they will have loving families to do the right thing by them, but please do not even think the government should paymore money to this case!
2-17-2009 @ 10:24AM
Kathy said...In response to Jim's comment, from what I know of this matter, the government is issuing her a check now....I would rather the same check be turned over to a responsible/accountable person to insure that the money is being used for these children. Contrary to all of the posts here, I do not want to spend excessive energy wondering about how much this woman looks like Jolie, and how many children single mothers should or should not have. My main concern is for these children, their welfare and their future and if appointing a government official to insure that government revenue is being spent for these children only, then maybe that is money well spent. I merely offered a suggestion, I do not have all the answers nor claimed to. What concerns me is where everyone's focus seems to be here..... when their are 14 young lives at stake and their future depends on the decisions that will be made.
