Joshua Duggar to be a Daddy!

Has no one noticed that we need to conserve every resource in this country because our ever-increasing numbers? Has no one noticed that we are going to ever-exaggerated lengths to reduce emissions from this growing population? The arrogance and ignorance that the Duggers demonstrate is appalling. PLEASE do not encourage such anti-social behavior.

Does it matter all that much that someone lives their life differently than your, or mine? They are happy and healthy. They love the lord and they are making the decision that is right for them! That should be all that matters, It is RIGHT FOR THEM.... Just like it is right for me that we have 2 children a third on the way and hopefully to more before our family is complete. How many children do you have?? One some might say that is wrong your child will be a spoiled brat or your child really needs to have a sibling to bond with, two...maybe thats the perfect number for some two is complete...what about 4??? Thats an even number....or do you have no children at all you selfish person you, how dare you think your life is just way to good to have a child enter into it. See all have opinions no matter what the number....get over it! Maybe all who have such a negative view on others lives should take a good look at all of the things in their own lives that could be critisized! I mean unless you are perfect.

The Duggars make me want to vomit. I have a brother in-law and family that are the same religion as the Duggars. What a bunch of hypocrites. I feel for the children. They would never survive in the real world. Duggar children, run as fast as you can. You are being brainwashed and don't even realize it. Don't become stepford children. Run far away and fast.

I can't believe you people who are condemning the Duggar family for having a large close-nit family! What right do you or anyone have to judge them for their belief's or choices? Are you God I know I'm not,nor am I very religious.
I do watch their show and will continue to as I enjoy it. Hey, even my Grandkids can watch it with me "suprise" ,no swear words or sex scenes! So they don't let the family watch T.V. but make money from it? Check out what shows they are on. The shows are very respectful of the family.Why? because the family show respect right down to the youngest child to everyone they cross paths with.You don't have to know them personally to know this.They live this.Gee morals might be a good thing!DO YOU HAVE ANY? By reading some of these comments I guess not!
I am also no prude yeah! I watch other shows that do have these included in them but my kids when they were living at home nor do my Grandkids watch them in my home.Nor did they,nor do they swear in my home.That's my choice which is also none of your business!
It is THEIR choice to shield their family from many of these things.DO YOU? So what's your problem? Are they on welfare?NO. Do they pay taxes.YES, probably more than most of us.Do they owe the Government or you money. I would guess NO. Are their kids young unwed parents living on welfare?NO. I am so tired of going almost anywhere and hearing the F word used by everyone young and old. Most use it after every other word .If people forgot it they wouldn't be able to string a sentence together!
O.K. so the Duggar family is "AWFUL!!!" it's very apparent that they love each other, DO YOU and your spouse or sig. other? Or are you Divorced? They are happy ARE YOU? They do many interesting and informative things with their kids .Hey! Look they have time for their kids,weird? DO YOU? They have very out-going polite kids,DO YOU, I'm sure they have to be diciplined as all kids do but they do it with kindnes.DO YOU?.They do chores without complaining. DO YOURS? Mine didn't! Gee,I did,my brother consideres me to be his mother,my oldest brother was thirteen,next brother was twelve,sister eleven ,and I was ten when he was born. My parents didn't do anything for the four older of us older kids,but beat and abuse us until my father went to prision for raping us girls when I was eleven (my mother knew since we were little and covered up for him and blamed us, she also covered up every since they had married while he raped and abused females of all ages., we went to a foster home,it was wonderful! My brothers lived on farms and went to school .A year later my sister and I were allowed to go home, my sister refused and lived with a neighbor family, I went home to raise my brother while my mother continued to beat me.At least she spared my brother .I guess she knew I would take it but not allow my brother to be abused! Do I wish I could have had such "AWFUL" parents as the Duggars are?YES,YES,YES!!!! Adopt me now!!!!
.The Duggar children are not abused.ARE YOURS? Long hair? Two of my Granddaughters have long hair and they are beautilful,the youngest also loves to wear dresses! She is wonderful,and has asked me to make a dress for her first dance when she goes into sixth grade in the fall. Homade dress(she's been wearing and loving them for years as did all three of my Granddaughters) she must be CRAZY LIKE A DUGGAR! The Duggar girls hair always look clean ARE YOURS? So what's the problem? Dresses? SO WHAT they always look so cute! DO YOURS or do they wear the skimpy tops, short shorts,tight low riding pants,I'm tired of seeing the top of these kids and adults pubic area's (boys and girls)or their pants hanging past their butts (they give plumbers a bad name!) with their underpants showing,or the girls butt-floss underwear showing. Yeah,the Duggers dress WEIRD!!!!!
Now the parents,the dad a controlling dictator? ARE YOU? Poor Mom popping out kids and she's too sweet? Popping out kids?Their buisness not yours you don't pay for them nor do you raise them.DO YOU SUPPORT AND RAISE YOURS? When is a loving mother too sweet?SPARE ME! They raise their kids to respect but don't need to make them afraid of them to get them to mind and show respect to them,each other sibling or others .DO YOU?ARE YOUR CHILDREN RESPECTFUL?
Since when are religious people who are raising their children no matter how many they have "that they CAN afford" (and don't ask the Goverment to pay for them),to be polite decent hardworking young productive adults (the kids even helped to build thir new home which is beautiful,they built it as they had the money to and do not owe a mortage.DO YOU

Congradulations on the new baby that will arrive in this family it will be loved and very well taken care of! WILL YOURS OR YOUR GRANDCHILDREN? Will your kids even be married or will the girl even know the father?I know my family is not perfect but they are very muched loved by me and they know it!
Good job Duggar's. I wish there were more LARGE familys like you in this world, large ,so there are more children who will go out into this world as good,kind,loving,well educated,family oriented adults who will help shape our future.You show many of us what we are lacking to find true happiness!!!!. I know you will forgive my sense of humor to the "Good people" (said very loosely) who chose to be rude on this site. You have silently showed them their flaws and they couldn't take it!!!!

I think people are entitled to their beliefs, but they should have some consideration to what this degree of reproducing does to the planet. Think about it, if all 18 children go on to have 18 kids of their own and so on, that is 5,832 people in 3 generations alone. In order for our population to stay at a steady rate each couple should really only have two children to replace themselves. And yes some couples don't have any children, but it seems more and more people are breeding like crazy. I'm afraid just to have one child knowing that by the time it grows up this planet will be an awful place to live.

So, I believe God gave people the knowledge to invent birth control for a reason. More people should use it, or stop having sex.

The statement about Quiverfull followers not supporting adoption is false. They see adoption as a positive, loving choice. Please don't slander these people with false statements just because you disagree with their lifestyle choices.

Irma - Agreed! Look, they seem like very nice people and whatever floats their boat is what I say (even if an extreme situation), but to seem that euphorically happy, all the time, with that many kids?!? Makes me wonder what medication they are taking!!

I do not think the children are brain-washed. I think they are normal...living life without the outside influences of TV., movies, video games, music, etc. Yes, I agree that 18 children is a bit much! But, look at the youth of our society!!!!! Children today are having sex, doing drugs, killing, dressing inappropriately, disrespectful to others and adults. I commend the Duggars for trying to protect their children from the influences of our society! In some respects, they are normal......not us!

I know its very hard to imagine that people can be happy without Television or the Internet...i don't know how I survived childhood without it...oh right, we spent time together...how mean!!!...maybe we have totally forgotten the importance of family and that they are happy because they rejoice in it...raising happy and well adjusted kids has nothing to do with buying them everything or having them be the best at everything...i don't judge other people...but if you watch some of these other shows, I think some of them need to contact the Duggars for advice on parenting...ie: J&K +8 (K, get a grip your a legend in your own mind, my grandmother raised 9 on her own..so SHUT UP) Table for 12..(your kids are obnoxious)..

I grew up in a huge family, 15 children. There is a reason that all of us have at the most 2 children and most of us had 1 or none. We grew up with carefully rationed parental time or interest, we raised each other, and were not that good at it. Our parents were devout evangelical Christians and most of us are not. Our childhood was not terrible but it wasn't exceptionally good either. I have watched the tightly edited Dugger progams. It is all very familiar. The schedules to make it work, the home schooling, the responsibilities for the care of younger children being wished on the older children. I would make an educated guess that the Duggers while not living a horrible life do not live the life of perpetual joy annd sweeetness that they are edited to have. I grew up knowing what was uacceptable to say and what all the right code words were, especially in public. I see the same in the Duggers. Would I want to get rid of my siblings, of course not. Would I have wanted my parents to have time to pay attention to me more frequently, of course.

Little Puppets? That's is called good behavior people. Much unlike the other ill behaved ADHD medicated kids running wild in schools. These children are all well behaved and have respect not only for their parents, but for other people and their opinions.
They support themselves and DO NOT expect the government to support them unlike octomom. Did anyone mention Kate Gosselin refused cribs for her newborns because the donated ones didn't match? Could she afford to go out and buy her own? NO...Kate's comments are that if the general population supports fertility drugs, then they should support the children they create?
