Baby Has Something on Her Mind

Actually if you listen she is saying some things- like I want a puppy and i want...that one I couldn't make out. My daughter is at this faze and I realized if you listen you actually pick up that they are saying something (I also translate toddler-lol). Makes you wonder if they can say things what are they thinking and what they mean with the rest we don't understand-lol

I have agree with Carla. That child is amazing and she was quite frustrated that they weren't getting her, but she didn't give up!

Carla, that was my thought too. There is a rhythm and some near-articulations that are clearly an attempt at speech; I'm pretty sure I heard "Mama" and "Dada" fly by, and if slowed and analyzed, I bet much of this would reveal itself to be attempts at other words. And I was also struck by the attentiveness of the child, and I thought she looked a bit frustrated that they were not "getting it." I don't think it will take long before this little one can verbalize what's going on in that busy little head! I'm glad to see that Dada is attentive to her. She has gifts that will need nourishment, but if a brief clip can covey a sense of people, I think she has had the good fortune of being born to parents who will want to nourish her in many ways.

OK, you all think this is cute, but I'm telling you she is ANGRY. She is chewing out her Dad, and is probably repeating actions that her mom made toward him. She is really angry, and you can tell that by her eyes and the way she is directing it toward him. She is also counting on her fingers the things that he has done wrong. When Mom and Dad start laughing about it she calms down a little but is confused that Mom is not mad at Dad anymore and is laughing with him. I would LOVE to here her rant in slow motion. I bet you would understand a lot more of what she is saying. I don't think that Dad would think that is so funny if he could understand her.

You're so right! She thinks that he understands her. She's forgotten that she doesn't have that ability anymore, lol! "Darn!, back in a baby's body again"! I love this video, so cute

I'm not sure about a lot of what this child is saying...but, she knows exactly what she's saying. I do believe I heard the child say that she "doesn't have enough money". But, you're right about one thing, she's obviously very smart to be able to form that many sounds that fast and the body language is just too much....

I think you nailed that conversation, totally. That is one busy little girl and she definitely had a lot to say! I'm sure SHE knew what she was talking about. She is destined for greatness, for sure. What a funny, bubbly little girl! I think she was trying to get a word in edgewise to daddy before her mom started blabbing again. = D

She's telling him "mama and me are going to go shopping for some bla bla bla bla but dada you cant come with us cuz youre a boy and you will be bored bored bored bored"...lol....isnt she just soooo cute?! She sure talks fast. I can tell you for sure though, that some kids DO SEEM to say things that we as adults may not understand them but they can understand each other. I remember when my triplets were around that age they would say things to each other that my husband and I didnt understand but it sure LOOKED like they understood each other. We called it triplet talk. Like one would "bla bla bla" while pointing at a toy then the other would get the toy for her, almost like give me that toy there or something and there would be a response from the others. It was kinda interesting to watch. OR perhaps it was just alot of coincidences.

Ok, I wasn't going to comment on the video, but when I read Inkling's comment I had no choice. Inkling; are you insane?!?!??? It is a baby babbling. You went off on this long, crazy story like the baby is expressing her deepest, innermost thoughts and feelings. Come on! She is an infant! Even if she is "mad at her dad" you don't know that! There is no indication of this or any other thought or emotion either. It was just baby babble! I have to hand it to you though. You have a very creative imagination.

BTW Cute clip, I caught a couple of words she said, Mama was one! Maybe she was tattling on her!

It doesn't seem to get rid of them. I've even tried feedback, to no avail.
