Former porn star Jenna Jameson has turned her talents to blogging, mommy blogging.
If ever there was a way to get men to start reading so-called mommy blogs, this is it.
Jameson is one of the most successful adult-film stars of all time. She has been credited with helping to make pornography more mainstream, according to Wikipedia.
She also appears to have a sense of humor, having responded to a Bill O'Reilly attack with the following e-mail:
"I hope Bill understands the difference between a porn star and a hooker. I assume he has done some research on the subject because he requested some of my videos after we finished taping my appearance. I imagine he wanted them for professional reasons."
She is also the mother of twin boys, Jesse Jameson Ortiz and Journey Jette Ortiz.
Whether or not Jameson will be able to pull off a great blog is unclear. As of this writing, a bunch of entries have been posted. One, titled "Say NO! to baby battle scars!," extols the virtues of Keihl's Creme de Corps in the fight against stretch marks. Although at first the post seemed to be a bit of a commercial for the lotion, Jameson also tells readers that, "In reality, having stretch marks isn't that big of a deal, considering all we have to do to earn them. So do your best to prevent them, bt [sic] don't beat yourself up if you get them... after all, you should be proud." In the same post, she tells us the 10 thoughts that entered her mind when she found out she was pregnant, two of which were "I'm scared." So give her points for honesty.
Judging by the comments, the site has already attracted male readers. "Gary" writes: "my wife totally would love this product. thank you soooo much. i love the blog idea too...."
We're sure that your wife will be interested to know where you found this little skin care tip, Gary.
While we don't want to risk the wrath of the father of Jameson's babies, mixed martial-arts champ Tito Ortiz, we do think that perhaps Jameson could hire a Web designer to help fix some of the mistakes on the site, such as replacing the default Wordpress settings ("Your blog description here"), and fixing the dead links on the HouseOfJameson.com home page.
All of that may be overlooked, however. Jameson is a big enough star that people are going to at least give her blogging efforts a shot no matter what. She may also be tapping into an anti-celebrity mom trend. A commenter on Jezebel wrote, "I'd rather read her take on mothering than Gwyneth Paltrow's any day."
What do you think? Are you interested in Jenna Jameson, Mommy Blogger?

Elizabeth said...Actually, Susan, if you knew anything about her, not just what you think you know or rumors you may have heard--she came from a broken home and had nothing and from that turned herself into the highest paid person in her industry. The woman is a self-made millionaire, all done without help from the government. She is not selling herself for crack on a street corner. And BTW, in her movies, she didn't have sex with many anonymous partners--they were all people she was in a relationship with, and once she was married, her husband was her only sex partner in her movies. So you're telling me that a self-made millionaire, who is in a monogamous relationship and not on public assistance isn't a good role model? So what if she had sex on camera--plenty of people do worse things! At least she is honest and up front about it--unlike a lot of politicians (who are supposed to have good character). Besides, it's not as if she is encouraging young girls to become porn actresses. This was a way for her to make money, and believe me, she worked the system. As the highest paid actress, she must be doing something right.
This is a woman who is honest and up front about her life, and has worked hard for all that she has. She is smart and business savvy, and I think that makes her a great role model for young girls.

Yes have your opinions but check the place from which it comes. Attacking someone for choices they made that had no affect on your life whatsoever, where is that coming from? How would you treat her children? Would you make your child get up if they sat down next to them? Would you make them quit the team? Would you deny them the same oppurtunities as your own child?, I hope the answer is no because it's absurd. I remember when my daughter joined the cheerleading squad, the coach asked my daughter how she became so advanced without ever cheering before, she told the coach "my mom taught me, she's a dancer and use to cheer" I was asked to assist with routines and I had to say no, for fear of a small-minded parent finding out about my PAST porn career and making a big deal of it or worst- treating my angel badly. I'm the parent that attended all the practices, all the school meetings, helped with the homework clubs, bought the snacks because I had the time to do so because now my job was fulltime stay-at-home single mom, but lived in constant fear of other parent's judgements, not of me being a mom but my past career choice. To this day my home is still the "koolaide" house and is always open to my daughters friends, and thank god no major drama ever unfolded from someone's misguided opinion of who I am based on what I did.

KT said...Okay so let me get this straight, jenna Jameson was a former porn star turned mommy and has her own blog. What's wrong with that. Married or unmarried people who have sex, be it conservative or raw and carnal still have sex plain and simple. The only difference between her and them/us is that she made her lving doing something she enjoyed and probably helped alot of men/women who needed that extra umpf so i say "GO JENNA" and get a life to those who feel she needs to repent of her sins. After all, only god can just her, not you the claimers or christ nor I.

I ask people that I KNOW have had success in a subject before looking to them for advise. I don't know Jenna in a way that would lead me to believe i should actively seek her influence as a parent. But about her branch of the film industry, acting, lighting, sales, promos, modeling, etc. I would.
