Fox Anchor Megyn Kelly Gives Birth After Explaining What Not to Say
Categories: Newborns, Pregnancy & Birth, Celeb Parenting
Fox News Channel Anchor Megyn Kelly has given birth to a 7 pounds, 10 ounce bouncing baby boy.
His name is Edward Yates Brunt, but "they will be calling him Yates -- named after his two grandfathers," according to our source. Congratulations to Kelly and her family.
Ironically, Kelly's last on-air piece for Fox News was a list of five things you should never say to a pregnant woman. All of which were said to her.
"Wow -- you're huge"?
Kelly politely declines to name names, but she does say that at least one of the comments was made by one of her fellow Fox News anchors, and that it was a guy.
Let the guessing game begin.
What's the worst thing someone said to you when you were pregnant?

When I went to see my OB about my incessant morning sickness that was so bad, I couldn't keep ANYTHING down, the nurse said, "Well, you know, Bulimics are so lucky! At least you'll be thin!!"
Bulimic? THIN??? I WAS PREGNANT!!!
I left that office, called an OB across town, and was accepted as a patient the next day. I never went back to that moron, and when they asked why I was refusing to pay my bill, I told them what that nurse said. They never billed me again.

Yeah, the worst comment I got was by my OB. He told me that it was GREAT that the only concern we were looking at with my pregnancy was "extreme maternal age". Extreme you say, I was only 38, he made it sound like I was getting ready to enter the Guinness book of world records.

My husband uncle asked me when I would be "calving" like I was a cow or something!! How rude!!

Although it sounds offensive, any pregnancy over the age of 35 is considered "Advanced Maternal Age", and a diagnosis of the same will be placed on your prenatal records. This is across the board in obstetrical medicine, and is not a reflection on you.

I hope you meant "husband's uncle!" lol

With our third child, my husband would refer to me as "elephant woman". Such a romantic guy! Can't believe I have stayed w/ him for 30 years.

My brilliant husband being a man and all, asked me 2 days before I was to be induced. What do we do with all these baby things if we don't come home with a baby? When I got done crying my eyes out I almost killed him.

I went to a wedding when I was 8 months pregnant and my husband's Aunt said to me, "You must be having a girl because they take away your beauty." Real nice, huh?

When I was 9 months pregnant I went to my OB for a exam to see if I was dialated yet and he said 'Wow you could fit a Mac truck thru those hips." "They are birthing hips." I wanted to pinch his head off with my legs! What a ass!

When I was preggo with my second I was always being asked why I was having a baby when I was already so fat..... I was a size 14! A neighbor asked me how I planned to lose the baby weight this time since I "totally" didnt do it the first time. And my MOM said I should have any more kids and should focus on getting back in shape! What is with people thinking that 6 weeks postpartum you should be down to your normal size? Or thinking that a size 12/14 is huge? Next time I am preggo and someone makes a comment about my weight I will sit on them!

I was stopped by a stranger in a local store and asked if I was having triplets. I broke down and cried right there in the store!

My sister- in -law is due at the end of October.
Her sister's wedding is this weekend. My
mother-in-law asked her if she was wearing a
tent to the wedding. I literally thought she was
going to kill her.

After several hours of labor my dear husband says to me "You pop this baby out soon and I'll still be able to make my tee time in the morning." After 17 hours of labor, I had an emergency c-section and he missed his tee time. Too bad.

After I delivered my daughter, my husband said "Now you are a real woman". Somehow I didn't think that was part of the criteria.

I had given birth - my daughter was 8 months - and I had gone into a store with her, picked out something to purchase and walked up to the counter to pay. I had my daughter with me and placed her on the floor (she was in her carrier). The cashier said to me "Oh, when is your baby due?" I looked at her quizically and said "My baby is 8 months old." She said, "Yeah, right, no really, when is your baby due?" I said, "Madam, please look on the floor, I assure you I am not lying." She looked down in shock and apologized....obviously I have never forgotten that!
