Fox News Channel Anchor Megyn Kelly has given birth to a 7 pounds, 10 ounce bouncing baby boy.
His name is Edward Yates Brunt, but "they will be calling him Yates -- named after his two grandfathers," according to our source. Congratulations to Kelly and her family.
Ironically, Kelly's last on-air piece for Fox News was a list of five things you should never say to a pregnant woman. All of which were said to her.
"Wow -- you're huge"?
Kelly politely declines to name names, but she does say that at least one of the comments was made by one of her fellow Fox News anchors, and that it was a guy.
Let the guessing game begin.
What's the worst thing someone said to you when you were pregnant?

Well it took awhile but I did get back into them! Take that!!

Evelyn said...Well, I had TWO great comments AFTER I had my baby... my mother said, "he's odd looking". And, we had a friend who was on vacation when the baby was born and when he got back 5 days after the baby was born, he came to our house and when I answered the door he looked me up and down and said, "Oh, somebody told me you already had the baby".

Mike said...My wife's worst comment came "while not pregnant" from a co-worker after she found out we had adopted our first of two daughters. "Oh that's to bad, you would have made such a good mother." 15 years later now and I would love to have the opportunity to tell that lady how great of mother my wife is.

drangel said...I just had a baby last month and the whole time since I was 6 months and up people at work kept asking me " Are you having twins? Others would say " You are huge! A lot of people would also say " You look soooo ready". I would avoid going to those places where I knew that they generally said those things. What pissed me off even more was that I only gained 16lbs the whole pregnancy but I looked big because I was already overweight and because I am short so the weight goes all to my stomach.

Victoria said...For me it was always the questioning and especially the way it was asked. No one asked nicely, they asked in very rude tones. They didn't ask to be curious - they asked so they could interrupt us and shove their opinions down our throats. Even though most of the people hadn't been pregnant or raised a baby in 10, 20, or 30+ years! It got to the point where we just started saying, "Because we've researched it, we're the parents, and it's our decision." That shut people up!
-WHY are you painting the nursery THAT color?!
-WHY are you having the baby at a birthing center?!
-WHY are you naming the baby that?! (And we chose two "normal" traditional names for our children. Nothing out of the ordinary!)
-WHY aren't you finding out the baby's sex?!

Lauren said...Here's the weirdest thing I have ever been asked. It was by a cashier at a grocery store (seems like those kind of workers make the most comments huh?). I was noticeably pregnant and he politely asked if I was. Fair enough. But the next question was off. "Do you like being pregnant?" What kind of question is that? It wasn't offensive, but really stupid. I can't think of a single woman who gets pregnant because she loves it. Hates the after product, just loves that bloating, swelling, nauseous sensation. Women only endure pregnancy because she looks forward to having that little baby to hold and care for.
