The newest baby -- who joins the already enormous clan -- weighed in at 8 pounds and measured 19 1/2 inches. Mommy Anna and Daddy Josh, the oldest of Michelle and Jim Bob's 18 children, tossed aside Grandma and Grandpa's self-imposed tradition of using first-letter J names for all the kids.
The supersize family continues its growth spurts, as Grandma Michelle is pregnant with baby #19, who is due in March.

Alexa DeSocio said...First of all, i don't think they are purposely trying to have more kids...they don't believe in birth control because it's against their religion, but you honestly can't expect them to stop having sex! Therefore, adoption wouldn't solve anything. As long as they can support themselves and raise their children well, i see no problem with the number of kids they have. Secondly, the younger children probably get taken care of better because of the largerer family. With all of those older brothers and sisters who have been rasied to be respectful and loyal to their family, the little ones will just have that much more love in their lives!

- Psychologically, see how everything comes right around back to her. Very interesting.

NB said...For all of you people that think this is so wrong, well it is really none of anyones business. They are not living off of welfare and have raised some amazing children. The world will be a better place for the contributions of this family and HOPEFULLY, maybe some of you out spoken idiots will learn some compassion for others from them and keep your rude comments to youself. God bless them, their new grandchild and their unborn baby! I pray that TV shows like this will continue to teach us all lessons in life. We could all take a few from them in the way they live and love life.

Gena said...Paul & those of you who are determined to put this family down.
FYI, they support their family, and did long before this TV show, unlike the J&KI+8 crew. Now those people are living off the accident of a multiple birth. The Duggars .. not so.
Their values could well be shared by many parents of just one or two children. (think about the last time you were in a restaurant seated next to a family of four, you feel like you need a shower after ... or galoshes just to walk out of the dining room!)
The Duggars raise their children the old fashioned way ... with beliefs ... and a belief that they are obligated to their family and more especially tp the younger ones. The life lessons that they pass along to their children are the sort that we could all do well to emulate.
Can you say that about the way you're raising your children?

OfAlaska said...What an example of breeding like lesser mammals this sets for the poor and ignorant masses already shoulder to shoulder crowding this planet! Does anyone really think there will be room for ANYTHING else if humans continue to act like the world is flat, it's the Pleistocene or the Middle Ages, and one must "Go forth and multiply?" Sheese! I don't want to hear any "Save the earth" crap from anybody who replicates like mice. At least mice have Mr. Snake, Mrs Hawk and Captian Kitty to keep them down to manageable level.
