Problem is, it's costing him.
His legal battle with his ex seems to grow exponentially every day, which, of course, sends the media frenzy on Jon-dom into the stratosphere. We called Jon for a quick chat to catch up on how this is impacting his parenting and ended up talking about everything else.
ParentDish: So, what's going on?
Jon Gosselin: I'm just trying to be as cordial as possible. I messed up at the beginning and now I want to be a nice guy, make better decisions and do the right thing.
PD: Why? What did you do that you consider bad moves.
JG: Meeting Kate Major [former reporter for Star magazine] and Stephanie [Santoro], the nanny. Those were two things.
PD: What's with you and family friend Hailey Glassman?
JG: Me and Hailey are still together. It was hard for her in the beginning. We are going to stay together. She talks to people. She's so friendly. She just goes up to people and says, 'I love your shoes.'
PD: Are you two going to get married?
JG: We don't talk about getting married. She's seen how messy my divorce has been and she says it makes her not want to get married. She laughs about it. It's so different than it was with Kate. It's so comfortable with Hailey and her family. They are so nice. They gave Kate a free tummy tuck, worth $20 grand. I mean, hello? It's free surgery.
PD: How is Hailey adjusting?
JG: I apologized to Hailey that I shouldn't have been hanging out with anyone else. I love her to death and she could've walked away.

Gosselin, the former star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" on TLC, has reportedly been shopping around a reality dating show but has yet to find a network for her program. Kate has said that her kids miss having a camera crew following them around, but there's no word if they would be included in this show. Patrick Jones has the story.

From now on, every time anything comes on TV about them, I will change channels. Why is Jon getting all this news coverage now? Evalyn said...Really the guy said that yes he should have said that. Any person having any sense what so ever would see that his Kate was an awful person. As the mother why didn't she ever put a stop to that show? Everytime i saw the show i saw how awful that woman was to him and i'd turn on the tv. Yes he made many mistakes but who doesnt? I think both of them to start off with tried to do something that may help them in the long run with their children financially speaking...We are all so quick to judge...but everyone as parents...have made many mistakes..not just one..yes their bad, but they are both equally to blame...not just him...

rachelle kramer said...if doing the "good morning america" interview was his first interview alone it should be his last!!! the more he opens his mouth the more obvious it becomes why kate had to do all the talking. he is the biggest tool in the box!! the way he talks about jewish people sounds like he is describing a really neato toy he got!!!!

hoosierladyus48 said...Rachelle: That's the problem. Kate ALWAYS did ALL the talking. When Jon went to say something, Kate would interupt and finish the sentence. I have watched this show from the beginning and I as a woman don't see how Jon lived with her as long as he did. For those of you who say Jon is a lazy bumb, he had a job as an IT Analyst and was asked to quit it for the show. "Most" of us know who wears the pants in that family and who wears the panties. I really feel sorry for the kids. Kate says she has to provide for her kids. She loves every minute of being in the spotlight. Also, for those of you who say you have heard enough of this family, then don't read or comment on the articles.

You can't have zero responsibility and all the perks when you want.
Jon should know when a man walks away, you leave the good too!
Jon needs to stop dividing the family.. (using Maddy to tell all and then tell what she said to TV) It will divide the twins and only hurt them forever. Kids will do anything to please an adult if they think they are losing their love...then, they feel guilty the rest of their lives. I know our twins lived it and still feel the pain of it as adults.

RG said...I know Jon has done some ridiculous things but it sure seems that Kate is not exactly a model parent. The only time you ever really see her in pictures with the kids is when they are filming. She's out selling books, on TV shows and this is almost as bad as his nonsense. I hope Jon is successful taking this show off the air. All the freebies in the world are not worth it considering the children. TLC should be ashamed at this continued exploitation. They couldn't care less about this family. Jon may have an agenda but at least someone is doing something to end this. People need to STOP WATCHING THIS SHOW!
