Problem is, it's costing him.
His legal battle with his ex seems to grow exponentially every day, which, of course, sends the media frenzy on Jon-dom into the stratosphere. We called Jon for a quick chat to catch up on how this is impacting his parenting and ended up talking about everything else.
ParentDish: So, what's going on?
Jon Gosselin: I'm just trying to be as cordial as possible. I messed up at the beginning and now I want to be a nice guy, make better decisions and do the right thing.
PD: Why? What did you do that you consider bad moves.
JG: Meeting Kate Major [former reporter for Star magazine] and Stephanie [Santoro], the nanny. Those were two things.
PD: What's with you and family friend Hailey Glassman?
JG: Me and Hailey are still together. It was hard for her in the beginning. We are going to stay together. She talks to people. She's so friendly. She just goes up to people and says, 'I love your shoes.'
PD: Are you two going to get married?
JG: We don't talk about getting married. She's seen how messy my divorce has been and she says it makes her not want to get married. She laughs about it. It's so different than it was with Kate. It's so comfortable with Hailey and her family. They are so nice. They gave Kate a free tummy tuck, worth $20 grand. I mean, hello? It's free surgery.
PD: How is Hailey adjusting?
JG: I apologized to Hailey that I shouldn't have been hanging out with anyone else. I love her to death and she could've walked away.

Kate Gosselin Plotting TV Return With Dating Show
Kate Gosselin is hoping to return to television. Gosselin, the former star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" on TLC, has reportedly been shopping around a reality dating show but has yet to find a network for her program. Kate has said that her kids miss having a camera crew following them around, but there's no word if they would be included in this show. Patrick Jones has the story.

Kate has done nothing to her except divorce the cheater so NOW he can be with YOU, sweet little miss perfect hailey. Remember folks, this creep is going through the "honeymoon" stage and he will be the same person (after a while) with hailey that he was with Kate. What a LOSER!

She lives in his NY apt where he does not spend much time, and takes care of his schedule. ?? Is he helpless or what? He thinks her going up and talking to strangers is something special ???? This woman sounds like she has to be in control just like Kate. Funny how people keep choosing the same types when they get into a relationship. What he said about people on the blogs being couch potatoes is just a way to insult people who comment about him. Actually I just finished cooking dinner, cleaning the kitchen, folding laundry , feeding the cats and cleaning their area and I am not sitting on the couch. (-:

She did one show to talk about something that he did (take the money). He has been on TV everyday this week. At the girls birthday party he came out of the house during a 'break' to speak to the press. HELLO! There are no 'breaks' at a kids party. It's constant go, go, go. He left the girls to feed the paparazzi frenzy outside his home. There was absolutely no other reason for it. He didn't order the cake for the party, Enterainment Tonight did. And he didn't even notice that they spelled Mady's name wrong. He was too busy with paparazzi! He has bashed Kate every chance he could and she never gave an interview in retaliation. She did do an interview when he illegally withdrew money from the joint account. And when he is ordered to pay it all back she will be redeemed. He says that TLC is trying to ruin his 'carreer'; He wouldn't get any attention if it weren't for his kids. He would probably still have been fired from his real job for failing to perform. His old boss made a public statement saying that Jon did not quit to stat at home with his kids, he had to be let go for failing to do any work. Oh my God.....and I'm just getting started. Jack@ss.

kj said...Patti: I didn't read the article and I've never watched the show. But I do like to read the news so I scan headlines and reader comments. In the past weeks AOL has run more stories about these two people than than they have about any real news. I'm starting to miss Amy Winehouse! Hopefully Bin Laden watches and considers these two "of national importance". Suppose someone could forward Jon's address to Akmadenijad? My God if this story doesn't end by 2012 I hope the doomsdayers are right.

J. G. Largent said...Good Luck Jon. The 1st time I ever saw your show was in March 2009 when I was in rehab for a hip replacement. I was absolutely angered the way Kate talked to you and how you never said anything back. I just wanted to holler at her & tell her that you, as her husband and father of the children, should be to treated with respect. And then I read in one publication about how "religious" Kate is - how about treating your mate as you wish to be treated!! I'm 70 years young, a widow and have never seen a man take what you have taken from Kate. Your children are beautiful - but I agree enough filming - let them have a normal childhood. Seems Kate wants to live off her kids - do they each have a bank account? Are you protecting their interests? I surely hope so. There are lots of us out here rooting for you! I am disturbed by the rude comments I see in the e-mail responses. Shame on you folks!!

nsdolly said...I just wish all the people with negative thoughts about Jon would have seen the weekly programs. Kate always put Jon down, yelled at him, she lacked affection to him, never said a kind word about or to him. I just wish he had been strong to stop and remind her of this negative behavior on her part. He just took it week after week. She made him give up his job of an IT to help take care of the children full time and then, she would take off to write and promote here books, leaving him behind to care for eight small children. Now that the septuplets are school age, she wants him out of her life. She claimed they had not lived as a couple for a year before the public knew there was a problem. She dragged Jon and family all the way to Hawaii to renew their wedding vows last yearr. You should have seen the cold phony baloney Valentines Day dinner date. Just right after that program, we began to notice problems with their marriage in front of the cameras. I feel pity for the whole family. I still try to watch the programs and would love to see the children grow up in front of me from time to time with occasional programs. I love children and have enjoyed seeing them take various trips with their children, thanks to TLC. The public should not be taking sides, because they do not know all of the true facts here about Jon & Kate. Jon has tried his best to be a good dad and being a good role model to both his sons and daughters. Nancy

His old boss was interviewed and he stated he had to fire Jon because all he did at work everyday was look for free stuff and opportunities to make money (selling pictures of the kids, and this was before they started TLC). His boss said he couldn't see keeping him on and paying him when he was not doing any work for the company. He wanted to be paid while he looked for opportunities to make money off of his kids.

WHY isn't the creep working now instead of doing all the globetrotting that he's doing? TV is sure putting the spotlight on this worthless "news" about Jon. For the life of me, I don't see why they spend so much time on this loser who is constantly contradicting himself.
Kate is a nagging, shrew but someone had to hold the reins. . .Jon sure wasn't one to do it.

Now I'm just hanging around the Koreans, everyone in my inner circle is Korean, the Koreans are so cool, like they eat tons of rice and fish and now that's all I eat too. All my best friends now are Korean, my whole house is decorated Korean, blah, blah, he sounds so dumb. I feel sorry for Hailey, except for the fact that she is so dumb and has daddy issues, because a young girl who has never been married or had children before deserves to be with her own age, not a middle aged guy with EIGHT KIDS, DIVORCED, WHO BASHES THE MOTHER OF HIS EIGHT, NOT ONE OR TWO, BUT EIGHT KIDS. This is so pathetic. Poor Hailey, the guy only thinks about himself, no one else, not even his kids. How is Kate supposed to make any money for her and the kids if she can't do a show? Can you imagine the cost of daycare for eight kids and how often one of them will be sick and she can't go to work? There is no job she can do that she can make any money from except the t.v. show. He's so selfish and a jerk. He screwed at least 3 women behind Hailey's back and she's still with him? Wake up Hailey and smell the bourbon!

She and that other bone head who we all know to be her soon to be ex-husband chose to have all of those kids,so surely they considered the costs? She can work a 12hr shift 3days a week somewhere and coordinate with Jon to have the kids on those days and that'll skuddle the babysitter arguement.I know of a couple of Nurses on my job with families almost as large who do this and are home most of the week for their kids.They are both two losers who are so caught up in the lights,hype,and nonsense that they are not stopping to think of what happens when all of "this" goes away. Because it does eventually. The scary part is where does this leave their kids and this family as a whole when it does? And she better have accounts for all of those kids b/c according to the Jackie Coogan law a certain percentage must be out away for them. After all aren't they considered childactors? I see lawsuits in the next 15-20yrs if neither one of them don't. Guess whose doing the suing? The kids!
I work 2fulltime jobs and manage to raise 1special needs kid and 2regular kids managing to be home in the morning and the evening so don't tell me it can't be done. Anything is possible.

It makes my heart ache to know that people actually talk so crudley and poke fun and people when they are down and hurting like the Gosslin family is. I also pray that God heal the hearts of every single person who is judging John and Kate for their decisions. No one knows who is right, wrong, or whats really in their hearts. So no one can really make an accurate judgement, other then God of course. Take some time to stop talking, and just listen, peoples words often reflect the condition of their hearts....what is your heart looking like when you decide to talk so disturbingly nasty and mean about someone you dont even know? just a penny for my thoughts, have a blessed day,
