Problem is, it's costing him.
His legal battle with his ex seems to grow exponentially every day, which, of course, sends the media frenzy on Jon-dom into the stratosphere. We called Jon for a quick chat to catch up on how this is impacting his parenting and ended up talking about everything else.
ParentDish: So, what's going on?
Jon Gosselin: I'm just trying to be as cordial as possible. I messed up at the beginning and now I want to be a nice guy, make better decisions and do the right thing.
PD: Why? What did you do that you consider bad moves.
JG: Meeting Kate Major [former reporter for Star magazine] and Stephanie [Santoro], the nanny. Those were two things.
PD: What's with you and family friend Hailey Glassman?
JG: Me and Hailey are still together. It was hard for her in the beginning. We are going to stay together. She talks to people. She's so friendly. She just goes up to people and says, 'I love your shoes.'
PD: Are you two going to get married?
JG: We don't talk about getting married. She's seen how messy my divorce has been and she says it makes her not want to get married. She laughs about it. It's so different than it was with Kate. It's so comfortable with Hailey and her family. They are so nice. They gave Kate a free tummy tuck, worth $20 grand. I mean, hello? It's free surgery.
PD: How is Hailey adjusting?
JG: I apologized to Hailey that I shouldn't have been hanging out with anyone else. I love her to death and she could've walked away.

Kate has said that her kids miss having a camera crew following them around, but there's no word if they would be included in this show. Patrick Jones has the story.

Ruby said...Hang in there Jon. I believe you are trying to do the right thing. You have faults as we all do. During the filming I have seen Kate talk to you worse than I would talk to my dog. I truly hope and pray that you and Kate can sensibly work things out for the children. Good luck and wish you a happy future with Hailey.

llsmill said...I remember when it was first in the news about a local couple here in Central PA, that had multiple births of six children. It was stated in the news then that they were a deeply religious family and how much their church was helping out. The church was even buying them a home because where they were living was much too small for their growing family. Then they show up on TLC and the rest is history. As for the problems between Jon and Kate, I think that Kate had to often direct him in what to do because a lot of the time he would just sort of sit there not quite sure what to do and with 8 kids; 9 if you count him; he needed all the direction he could get. It seemed to me though that after TLC and they started making money and buying the bigger house, better cars, etc their behavior changed and it was not for the better. Who knows though, how many people looked at them and saw dollar signs and tried to make a buck off of them.

Jon is a very very confused individual. He loves this woman who is a jew, met with rabbi's to turn jew, has 8 kids with an american, he is korean, he is scheming to destroy TLC, says he has no friends but the friends he has are envious of his relationship to a jewish girl, he is so so much in love, he doesn't want no more kids but maybe if she does later on etc...
well enough said, Jon has a lot of anger issues, separation anxiety and has reached mid life cycle early. Nothing is exceptional about this man except his past life which he wished he still had...Kate is the foundation of that family, she is the one who has the balls to do what any mother would do, make sure her kids will not have to ever worry about their future or struggle in life monetarily and I don't think for a minute that TLC is brainwashing her...she is a smart, intelligent woman. So now Jon lost his place in the family nest and fortune so he latched on to someone who has family wealth and who probably will inherit a lot and keep up with his expensive quirks...and lets not forget this old and true motto..."a cheater is always a cheater" so when the honeymoon stage is over with this new girl..a new one will come along...
Makes me wonder if korean's have slanted brains also!

em said...The thing is, neither he nor Kate realize that the only reason they get so much attention is because they are both such freak shows. They think it's because they're "stars". The more they speak, the more evident it is that they're both tremendous losers. It's time to make them go back under the rock they crawled out from, by not watching their shows or buying their books. God help those poor kids.

I am hoping eventually these kids and this family get out of the lime light and live a normal life. I also hope the profit they made is put to good use for the kids. As far as Kate and Jon go..She is a nurse and he doesnt exactly look like he is poor so I think they will be just fine. It's turned out to be the War of the Gosslins. It's time for everyone to kill this beast and put it at peace.

Mary said...You should not feel sorry for Jon. He allowed Kate to talk down to him from the beginning of their marriage. The saying " people will only treat you the way you allow them too" is true. For whatever reason he obviously liked to be treated like a child or he would have stopped it the first time it happened. I know it sounds ridiculous but some people want to be treated that way. I don't think he worried much about it until he started reading the blogs where people were saying how awful kate treated him. Then he grabbed that opportunity to use it as an excuse for his ADULTRY. Do two wrongs make a right?

He is rubbing salt in the wound by letting the world know that she stays at his apartment. This means they are already living together and he is trying to stall his divorce from Kate??? Give me a break! If it weren't for his lawyers and his managers trying to clean up his image, he would come across like a 15 year old kid who has no clue how to be an adult. It's no wonder Kate managed the household and got tired of his ways. In this interview he almost sounds mentally challenged! He is in way over his head.....

I am not a couch potato. And from my point of view, well....Jon is trying on the outside to say and do what he thinks is best but it takes learning as you go and changing on THE INSIDE
....ON ANOTHER NOTE....Jon boy! those two "things" that were accounted as mistakes are real people that you really lied to....give the poor ladies some credit....be more respectful and not tag them with "oops...you made me do it and you were a mistake!"...im sure it wasnt all bad.....
ANd really...is it fair to drag a young woman into your life.....let Hailey go...(oh selfish one that doesnt deserve her)....she deserves to have her own great life with a great partner who is not running from the burning house he set on fire.....You need to just settle down and love all your kids...I know...its not all that interesting all by yourself.....
