The First Lady of the United States has been immortalized in plastic.
Jailbreak Toys has announced a new item, just in time for the holidays -- the Michelle Obama Action Figure. This toy/collectible/political statement will take her place beside an action figure effigy of her husband, President Barack Obama. You can preorder FLOTUS at JailbreakToys.com.
President Obama has spawned a cottage industry of collectible items, some of which have shot up in value. A first printing of Amazing Spider-Man #583, with the commander in chief on the cover and inside, is on eBay for almost $250. The first lady was featured in "Female Force: Michelle Obama," a comic book version of her life story. The Michelle Obama Action Figure comes in three versions, each wearing a different sleeveless dress that FLOTUS has worn in real life -- an interesting choice considering the controversy that fashion choice created earlier this year. Some think that the Michelle doll has "man hands," and of course many conservatives are using the doll's existence as a yet another chance to point out that they don't like the president or the first lady.
With the recent debate over the new black Barbie dolls, perhaps the Michelle dolls offers an alternative for parents looking for a positive toy role model for their daughters.

The action figure doesn't really resemble her,it looks mean! As a "First Lady" she deserves a better looking action figure that also represents her strength.

The doll does look mean and it's a fabulous likeness of the meanest first lady ever in the WHITE HOUSE!!! Looks kinda manly too, but like I said.....fabulous likeness to the real thing. They really should have portrayed her bowleggedness (she looks like she's been riding a horse all her life) and the boobs on this ACTION FIGURE are too big to be like MO's....LOL! She doesn't have an ounce of class and can never be as classy and beautiful as Jackie Kennedy and Laura Bush. Oh and by the way, maybe her hearing has improved too.....you know for 20 years she didn't hear Rev. Wright say anything controversial! What a bunch of nitwits we have running this country.

Another article about dolls? Aren't there more important things than dolls in this jacked up bankrupt country of ours? People are freakin' idiots.

It looks just like her... The way she dresses with NO sleaves 99% of the time,,, She is a large woman and needs desperate HELP with her wardrobe... She doesn't dress dignified. You would think all the years of being an attorney she would know how to dress... Now being the first LADY, would being more watchful, of being more business like and tasteful. Not always showing her chest and arms in everyday wear... There is a time and place to wear bear chest and shoulders. Not in everyday dress... Maybe at a ball or sometimes to a formal affair IF the occasion arises....
In the first place, she doesn't have the figure to wear those type of clothes. In the second place, even if she did have that type of figure to wear them, it was NOT the time to wear the bare chest and or shoulders, being the first lady........ Doesn't she watch herself on TV when she appears in the public eye???

The elder Bush's wife looked like his MOTHER, and any other presidents wife including Jackie o was not super model material in the face nor marylin Monroe's in the body! We all know why Michelle is getting the slam! to the idot that feels taxpayers dollars are keeping up her mother, her mother is a sitter for her children and I doubt if she receives payment for that, thus saving taxpayers money that would have been spent on staff! Who is focused on her bowleggs?....... why are you even looking in that direction! You ole prune faced hags and dateless men need to lay off Michelle she is a living doll!

They nailed the facial expression! She does need help with her wardrobe maybe Carson Kressley could help her! With all the staff she has to help her you would think she'd put her best foot forward! I guess when that's a size 14 foot, its difficult!

Michelle Obama is far more beautiful than this doll portrays her. That doll is not even cute.

Mean??? Her smile couldn't get any bigger! I think she looks awesome and she'll look great next to my "Barack." (yeah...I'm a First Family fan).
I also like the line about a positive role model for kids. The Michelle Obama Action Figure...the Anti-Barbie! lol

I think it depicts her perfectly. Liz, you think the doll looks mean, they have captured her look amazingly. If the doll looks mean, maybe you should really look at the person the doll is portraying. This is not a gentle soft woman but a hard, driven woman who is not afraid to step on people to get what she wants. It looks exactly like her, deal with it. I am not one of her fans, but I think this doll looks like her, even down to the dowdy wardrobe.

I agree Debra!! It does look just like her, right down to the dawdy outfits. Maybe when she sees how they really look she will find a different fashion sense! One can only hope!

Looks just like her -- a dedicated TJMAXX shopper! The woman wore a "cardigan" to visit the Queen of England for heavens sake!! Could she shame us all any more?
