For Tyler to allow the other kids to share the credit by "pushing" him is every bit as nice as the coach who put Tyler in the game. He would have scored without the "push" if you watch the video. Kudos to all.

It’s just a small village that values community and each other. Countless times the whole town has acted to help people accomplish their dreams and also helped others simply get back on their feet.

Coach, I remember hanging out with you and this type of act is why your friendship always meant alot to me. And it is great to see what influence you have on these kids and I will never forget you. You may remember me as "Burky"!
Kids, this act of generosity is something that Tyler will never forget and will long be remembered not just in McComb, OH, but I believe all over the US. Tyler, I give you the upmost respect for working hard and going out there and performing no matter what incapability you possesed. There needs to be more athletes that do not have any handicaps work as hard as you do. To your fellow teammates, you too, will never forget this great act of kindness and it shows that there still are parents out there that are raising their kids with great morals.
Congratulations to you Tyler and to the entire McComb High School football team on a great act of kindness and generosity. Good luck to your team the rest of the season and to Tyler in your life ahead....

I think principles and teachers should be taught these principles instead of take it and shut up principles my kid had to tolerate.

Then the game can end in a tie, so no one has to lose. Meanwhile the rest of the world is feeding us our own asses by working harder, longer, and getting smarter while we are building fake self esteem in our youth.

Willis Fraley Jr said...It gives me hope that our kids and coaches have a heart to give a challanged kid a chance to be in the limelight once in his life and the other team did not LET him score but it was done on brawn to get him in the end-zone!! He and everyone at that game will remember this their whole lives and what a story to tell his children and grandchildren someday!!!!I I know that I will tell my grandchildren about this today!!

Jeanne Y said...That is true sportsmanship of Tyler's teamates! And I don't think that the other kids did anything wrong by pushing him through the defense, the other team didn't know he was blind and couldn't have avoided a tackle if he tried. His team protected him and gave him the chance to score. Besides, plenty of receivers have been pushed over the goal line in the past by their teamates!
