She should be in jail and she should have to register as a sex offender. What she did could cause this child to disappear. Giving out her name and phone number. I'm sure this family has many worries now. Throw the her under the jail. This woman is very sick in the head!

Before you say she is innocent, I just have to tell you that social workers lie big time just to get the kids in trouble, so think before you say she's innocent. We had a social worker her in polk cty NC that wasn't so honest and lied to have her way or no way. I went through hell ,while my niece was in her care , so I wouldn't be surprised at all if she did what they are accusing her of. They do cover up a lot of crap to save there ass. I have pictures as clear as day to implicate this safe home she was put in but don't have the money for a lawyer to go forward with a case.They all should be looked into.

Not all social workers are this way, some have been abused as children and want to make a difference. Social workers make MIM Wage for the first years. all social workers SHOULD have a college degree, but unfortunatly not all states have the same law. Social workers have to put up with the same fears and violence that police have to deal with. Dys-functional families might, may, could be, not all, but some of these families are surrounded by violence and drugs. So social workers have to pick up the pieces of abuse and molestations, because the families are to close to be able to see the big picture of what causes this to happen. SHE should be dealt with by the SAME stronge laws that she was suppose to be enforcing in her work. To think she acted this way is alarming, IF she is guilty. She should have been in total control of all feelings and aspects of this situation at her childs school. She must not have, or refused, to use the training she recieved to help her with these feelings.

sad to say few or most social workers don't care about their job and don't understand that they are taking care of abused, neglected children.

i have encountered a social worker in the past and it was the worse experience i had. i am a good person who help kids who's parents don't care and dont take responsible for their children. this social worker gave me hell and that's probably one reason why i am hesitant to help children in need. the good people get srewed...

Funny thing about Craigslist postings...not only is the unique computer identity traceable to your home/office address, but they also send you an email notification to proof your ad before it is actually placed. End of story, the mom would have had full knowledge of the content of the posting even if her daughter fraudulently set it up. If it were traceable to her daughter's email, the mother would not be in court. Also, what was the content of that argument? That would indicate to the reviewing authority whether this particular 9 year old would be mature or savvy enough to elaborately set up such a horrible prank. In either case, it comes back to the parent's parenting skills in that she is raising a child who would even concieve such a crime.

All these social workers are messed up. When I was a kid I saw a social worker because I was having anxiety because my parents were fighting in front of me.


the social worker fed me some wine (she called juice) and then proceed to give me my first BJ. It was an all new experience for me and this should have never happened. My parents insisted I was lying when the fat pig pinned my to the floor and then gave me oral sex and tried to stimulate my prostrate hurting my anus with her finger. I was only 10 years old.


Eventually my dad to peeked in the window during a counciling session and caught the fat pig attacking me and he confronted her. The psycho then stalked my mother and is probably responsible for two of my cats that were found dismembered on my front steps one a morning.


My Social workers last name was also Tannenbaum and from the same area. Who knows it may have been this same iodits mom or something that haunted me as a child.

This is your typical social worker in action.

Her social work license should be revoked and she should NEVER be able to have access to people to provide them assistance!! She is the one who needs help!!! Needs the child taken away from her... Where there's smoke there's fire!!! Why don't the lawyer hire her as his familys babysitter!!! M0--RON!!!!

It never ceases to amaze me the lengths some people will go to to get revenge. As a social worker she should have known how damaging a posting like that could be to a 9 year old child. As far as her being a good mother, I don't think so. A good mother wouldn't dream of doing something like that. And if her own daughter did post the ad she shoud have been aware of what her daughter was up to and put a stop to it before it was even posted. I hope that she is not only replaced as a classroom mom but also as a social worker.

I agree. I once reported suspected abuse of my own daughter at the hand of her mother. The social worker who showed up to interview my child, looked like something out of tales from the crypt; she had piercings all over her face and tattooes all over her neck and arms. Imagine trying to convince someone into sado/masichism that a child's swollen chin and busted lip are signs of abuse. To her that probably just looked like a 'good time'.

When my daughter was raped and we reported it to the police. Instead of them going to the SICKO who did it walking through his house. A caseworker had to come out and check OUR home and do a walk through because we reported the rape of a minor. My daughter was so sick she threw up and screamed when she found out they were coming to check out her home. It was revictimizing my daughter twice. She felt like they did not believe her nor cared for her privacy.

i think what that woman di was very wrong and she should be procecuted for that crime , what it is in reallity, no normal thinking human would do anything that outrages and stupid , put her away for a couple of years and she may learned a lesson the hard way ,

The article states the social worker Tannenbaum, 40, denied the allegations when she was arrested last spring. Police departments are usually extremely careful when considering arrest of a social worker, teacher, doctor, nurse, or anyone else working with children because it could ruin their career. The fact that this woman was arrested means the police have sufficient evidence to do so. It's extremely doubtful that a 9 year old girl is capable of placing an ad on Craigslist. This child would have to know how to phrase an ad to lure sex seeking males and if she knows how to do that, then there's something terribly wrong with this child. My take on this: Ms. Tannenbaum should have her social worker's license revoked, and serve time for endangering a minor child.

She should be incarcerated, made to pay damages for emotional distress etc., to the child AND the parents and she should be prohibited from ever working as a Social Worker again and that should apply across the board through every state.

perfectlyimperfect- it is not a stretch to think that a 9 year-old girl would know about sex in this day and age. Most kids are having sex around 10 and 11 some of them even getting pregnant. I do agree however that if it was the daughter that may have posted this, the mother should have been watching over her better. If the mother does this then she needs to lose her license and spend some much needed time in jail.
