Grown-up Reporter Dunks on Little Lad and Makes Him Cry

You know the saying, "Pick on someone your own size?" Tell that to this reporter from Chicago's WGN-TV, who played a little b-ball with a child and proceeded to dunk on him, yell in his face and make him cry.
He almost redeemed himself. After the boy started crying, Pat Tomasulo said, "I feel like the lowest person on the planet right now." But then, the reporter took it back.

Kyle said...I've done this before when I coached basketball... but the kids would all laugh and knew I was kidding. I was inspired by It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and emulated it not even a year later. I got into trouble eventually for lending one of the players Freddy Vs. Jason and Cabin Fever(after his mother said it was okay for him to watch any R rated horror movies.) I warned her that they both had violence and nudity... she was upset about the language. So gay.

Danny Gil said...The sport's reporter seemed to feel discomfort over his taunting actions at the child. Unfortunately, he tried to justify it by becoming defensive and expressing his social view on "kids today..."
However, being on live television and having to improvise, sometimes leaves anyone WISHING they had another take. He meant no harm and I hope that this clip only brings the station ratings more so then rants that would cost a young man his job during the holiday season.

N.E. Pa. said...First off I don't think you should ever let anyone beat you in a sporting event. I have 5 daughters and the all play sports and I practice with them alot and I give them the hard foul accordingly with how old they are. But let them win? No way! But as a father if this guy did this to any one of my kids I would have been facing some jail time.

They were humiliated and hurt and had their feelings invalidated. So now as adults they pass on the venom but deep inside they are bitter, angry, and hurting.

And this "man"...who is probably in his late thirties...just started trash talking (loudly I may add) into this kids face!! I mean...seriously? How pathetic can you get? And for the people who are saying that a child (possibly a toddler) should "toughen up"...seriously...what do you expect from him? To talk crap too? I don't think so. I believe when a child is getting yelled at by someone who isn't their parent, it's normal for a child to go running to mommy. Because he was startled! Point is, the guy should have really kept his mouth shut and let the boy get in one basket and be a good sportsman! But I guess since he is a douche...I guess he was too good for that. And besides, the kid will 4get this because with children, nothing lasts forever. The only baby/child I saw in this video was that man. Even his colleagues were outraged.
