In 2000 Taylor Momsen was cast as the adorable, innocent Cindy-Lou Who in the live-action Jim Carrey version of "Dr. Seuss's The Grinch Who Stole Christmas." She followed up that cuddly role with more big-screen family films: "Spy Kids 2" (2002), "Saving Shiloh" (2006) and "Underdog" (2007). Then she grew up. Momsen now appears regularly as the rule-breaking, status-obsessed Jenny Humphrey on the endlessly controversial CW series, "Gossip Girl." She's come a long way.
Momsen also has a modeling contract and was named one of People Magazine's most beautiful people in 2009. In addition, she formed and fronts her own alternative rock band, The Pretty Reckless. The heavily-eyelinered punk-pop foursome has signed with Interscope Records and is in the process of recording a debut album. In the meantime, their growly, hard-rockin' singles, "I Zombie" and "He Love You" can be heard on the band's MySpace page. The sweet-voiced Cindy-Lou Who is nowhere to be heard on those raucous tracks.
