Kourtney: My Baby Diary
The new mom opens up about how her son, Mason Dash Disick, has changed her life forever
Last January, Kourtney was a staple on the social scene, hobnobbing with fellow celebs everywhere from the Sundance Film Festival to Super Bowl parties. This year, there's only one guy she's spending face time with: Mason Dash, the son she and her boyfriend, Scott Disick, welcomed on Dec. 14.
"I'm just loving all the time with him," Kourtney, 30, tells Life & Style in a new exclusive interview. "I really don't miss my old life. I can't imagine life without Mason now."
Kourtney wasn't always sure she'd be this content with motherhood. "She was definitely scared before she had Mason, asking, 'Am I going to be a great mother? Am I going to love this baby as much as I should?'" Scott, 26, tells Life & Style. "And that all went out the door."
In fact, her devotion to their child has brought the couple with the rocky past closer than ever. "Of course, I knew Kourtney would be a good mom, but nothing to the extent of how fantastic she's been," Scott says. "She's just ridiculously good with Mason. She's perfection. It's made me fall a little bit more in love with her."
Dec. 15: Bringing baby Mason home Once first-time parents Scott and Kourtney figure out how to get the baby strapped into his car seat, it's smooth sailing for the new family of three. "I sat in the back with Mason," Kourtney tells Life & Style, "and Scott drove us home."
Dec. 17: Puckering up for Aunt Kim "I kiss Mason so much," Kourtney's little sis Kim Kardashian tells Life & Style on Dec. 17. "Sometimes I kiss him so hard he cries! I can't help it!"
Dec. 25: Baby's first Christmas "Scott and I were lying in bed last night with Mason and reading him his first book," Kourt tells Life & Style on Dec. 26. "A Christmas book, of course."
Jan. 11: Two more weeks until I can hit the gym! While on the "Kidd Kraddick in the Morning" radio show, Kim denies that Scott and Kourtney are engaged, but Kourt's more concerned with shedding the 40 pounds she gained during her pregnancy. "I can start working out again in another two weeks," she tells Life & Style. In the meantime, she's tightening and shrinking her stomach with the Belly Bandit. "I put it on in the hospital and have barely taken it off since," she says. "It helps swelling go down and makes my tummy look better under clothes while I'm losing the weight. I still have 25 pounds to go."
What a difference a year makes! In a span of 14 months, Kendra Wilkinson went from party girl living in the Playboy Mansion to happily married mom in suburban Indianapolis. "She seems like the same old Kendra, just more at peace and happier," her friend and onetime Girls Next Door co-star Holly Madison tells Life & Style. "She's definitely more mature and responsible. Kendra has really found her place in the world, and I'm so proud of her."
During the whirlwind month since Kendra, 24, and Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Hank Baskett, 27, welcomed little Hank IV to their family, the reality star has documented every step of her journey into motherhood with constant Twitter updates and candid interviews. "I'll be a good mom," Kendra recently told Life & Style. "I want to be really hands-on."
Dec. 11: The best day of my life! Hank IV arrives at 12:37 a.m. on Dec. 11, weighing a hefty 9 pounds, 5 ounces. "It's great," dad Hank tells Life & Style hours later at Clarian North Medical Center in Carmel, Ind. "I feel good."
Dec. 25: First Christmas "I can't wait to start my own family traditions, and I'm so excited to make every Christmas memorable for lil' Hank, like my mom did for me!"
Jan. 4: Ready to get sweaty and shed the pregnancy pounds "Two more weeks until I get to hit it hard at the gym. And [have] sex, of course."
Jan. 6: Friends can't wait to meet the little guy Holly Madison is eager to baby-sit Hank IV. "Kendra talks about how cute he is, how he has Hank's face and her hair," Holly tells Life & Style on Jan. 6. "He's just so awesome."
Jan. :7 Call him the Poopinator "Lil' man just had an atomic poop. How can something so small let out so much poop?"
