Kate Gosselin Says She's 'Dancing' to Support Her Kids, Not an Obsession With Fame

sharon, you talk about how kate has money for hair extentions, manicures, etc. and it is all about kate, but if you pay any attn at all, the EIGHT children are always well dressed and well groomed just as kate is, so it ISNT all about kate. she isnt going around in glam clothes and dressing her children in rags...you jealous people need to get over it and leave her alone!! YOU GO KATE!!!

I am sorry I think she is doing this for herself not her children. There are alot of other folks that have eight children and they are doing it by working regular jobs. They are not exploiting there children. I think it is wrong . You had the children if you couldn't take care of them on what you weer making as a nurse then you should not have had that many. People you are why she is making the money she is and she is living very well. Stop watching her shows. Who has the children while she now goes off dancing.

GO KATE! She is not neglecting her kids, anymore than someone with a full time job neglects their kids. She is dancing in her basement, where she is accessible to the kids at all times. Her kids are now 9 and 5, they don't need constant watching. I don't understand why everyone isn't applauding her spunk to keep going, after all she was cheated on and humiliated by her husband in front of the world with a large cast of young bimbo girlfriends. If someone did this to one of America's Sweethearts like Jennifer Aniston, she would have been sainted by now. I will be voting for Kate every week and I never vote on these shows, for Kate I will make an exception. All you haters look at yourselves. How many hours a day do you spend with your kids? Or are you one of those geniuses that has no kids, but thinks they know all about raising them.?

Oh my goodness! WIll everyone leave this woman alone. She is a mother of eight children, yes eight children! She had a successful reality show with her family. Her and her husband no longer are married. Life happens. At least she isn't sitting around waiting for the rest of the world to support her. She is a beautiful, responsible woman who loves her kids. And in the mean time was offered this great opportunity. She would be foolish not to do this. I totally agree with her reasons and what it is teaching her children. And by the way...it is nobody's business! You go Kate! I hope you do win! You are a woman who has it all: 8 beautiful kids! CONGRATULATIONS on Dancing With the Stars!

I do not know why everyone is downing Kate, rather she is doing this for her or her kids, do it really matter. I thuink she takes very good care of her kids. Someone was saying that she was getting her nails, and hair done, if she walked around looking ragged and nasty, you sll would still have something to say.

kate can sit there in every interview and say "i'm doing this for my kids", "i'm primary care taker for my kids", "i need to support my kids"...blah blah blah, she wants the fame...PERIOD.... there are thousands and thousands of single parents who work 2 and 3 jobs to support their families, she makes it seem like she is the only single mother in the world..granted not all of us have 8 kids (her choice), but i worked 3 jobs, 7 days a week, getting up at 5 a.m. every day and working till 1-2 in the morning...my daughter was little then and it killed me to be away from her for so long, but she was always with family and I was "the primary care taker"....I would have more respect for her if she'd say "yes, i like all the attention, i want to be famous, and i don't want to get a 'regular" job, instead of always saying everything she does is for her kids....I wonder if she still cooks all her organic food for her kids, or does she have someone who does that along with taking care of her kids...the poor kids, they have a dead beat as a dad and a mom who craves the spotlight more than wanting to be with them....now all of a sudden people are comparing her to angelina jolie, well angelina takes her kids with her everywhere, kate leaves them at home, angelina is a movie star, kate is just someone who had 6 babies at once and became famous when she got divorced....the other thing i wonder is, does she still get free stuff for her and her kids, and if so, does she keep it or send it back because clearly she doesn't deserve to get anything for free, she lives in a million dollar home, she can buy her kids clothes and food, i'm betting she still takes the freebees and would never think of either donating to someone who really needs it, or sending the stuff back....to me she is a fake, she acts one way for the camera's and the public, "poor single mother" and acts another way when there's no camera's around....i can't stand her and she looks a whole lot older than 34....i hope her kids turn out ok in the end, and we don't see them on True Hollywood Stories...seeing how she danced last night, i don't see her around to much longer, yet people can't stop watching her so i guess she is gonna be around a long time, just wish she had the balls to admit she's in it for the money and fame.....Can't wait to see what she is going to do next...heard she getting her own T.V. show, but again, she is only doing this for her kids, she doesn't want the fame?????I get that she wants the money (i mean who wouldn't), and the fame and all the perks, but just say it...at one point she said that what else was she going to do (since her show ended), she couldn't go back to a regular job, why not, Drew Barrymore was a waitress, a lot of REAL Celebrities end up working "regular" jobs after their fame is gone, who is Kate Gosselin to say something like that, I wish she would go away and stay away...I think everyone should just stop watching anything she does this way no ratings, no show, no fame, SHE WILL GO AWAY,

its not that their is anythig wrong with her having a career its just the way she has treated her kids and husband i cant believe no one has even commented on the way she acted on the show not only to jon but her kids she is nasty hateful ladie that doesnt deserve to be treated with respect i saw an episode where she told all the kids to be out to the van in just a few min or she was leaving this is supposed to be a mom that is caring she should have been helping the little kids get ready instead she came out all fixed up with her designer clothes paid for by her kids .and then tells them to be at the door in so many min or she was going without them.alsdo another time she decided the twins was getting older and would start wearing one piece bathing suits so the time they go to the beach she has on a bikini now come on kate talk about one sided it should have been the little girls wearing the 2 piece and her covering up and to think all her clothes are paid for by the kids ,she always got in the lime light on the show had to butt in all the time the show should have been about the kids not her.
