Levi Johnston, Playgirl cover model and Sarah Palin's grandbaby daddy, is shopping a reality show about his life in Alaska.
Sound familiar? That's because Palin's show, titled Sarah Palin's Alaska, was picked up by the Discovery Channel last week.
The show, tentatively titled "Levi Johnston's Final Frontier," is "'Jersey Shore' on ice," Stuart Krasnow, the executive producer of Johnston's series, tells The Washington Post.
Krasnow insists that Johnston's show isn't a reaction to Palin's.
"When Sarah Palin made her announcement, we rushed and decided to go out quicker. In a competitive marketplace it made sense, if Sarah Palin is going to try to own Alaska," Krasnow says.
"Basically, the show is going to be about me and my closest guys, my son [Tripp], in Alaska, hunting, fishing, everything I like to do. Of course it's going to be about fatherhood ... me doing my thing," Johnston tells E! News.
The show, which also has been described as "sort of an Entourage on ice," might also have a hint of The Bachelor (on ice, of course).
"I haven't dated since [ex-fiancée] Bristol [Palin], so that is going to be in the show. It's going to be a part to fit -- me looking for women in California, across the world," Johsnton tells E! News. "I've got to find one, take her back to Alaska and see if she can hang."
No word yet on whether you'll be able to see Russia from either program.

Sally said...I love Sarah Palin. However, when she found out her daughter was pregnant she should have married those kids. She was running for VP of our country and therefore she and her daughter should have set an example. I'm sure being in the public eye took a toll on that relationship. Perhaps it would have endured a little better had they been more committed to each other and Mom Sarah should have encouraged that. I can imagine that standing on stage after stage with that family and not really being a part of it was quite uncomfortable for Levi.

How about a "reality" show about being a good parent and a good example when the camera isn't running? I guess in your infinite wisdom you thought the Jon and Kate + 8 show was an instructional video? Poor Alaska ! Let's hope your baby was spared this part of your DNA. What a jerk.

HOw long can Levi keep up being a pretty boy, the puppet of the left and sell himself to highest bidder. He is using his son like a jewelry accessory, something he will wear only on special occasions like a reality show. Any girl he hooks must first learn how shoot and cook a moose..eh

Why didn't they get married? Because he never intended to marry her in the first place. Bottom line is, her daughter Bristol is not the perfect angel like her mother potrayed her to be. She is another teen mom like a lot of other teen moms. If Bristol Palin was really smart, she would have used precautions, she should have made Levi where a condom and she she should have used birth control. Bristo wasn't thinking about how this could affect her future. If I'm wrong for saying this then I'm sorry. I'm so tired of America justifying Bristol Palin's being a teen mom, there is no way to cover this up, she had a baby before getting married just like a lot of other young women did.

heidi said...Omg... really... I just moved to Fairbanks, Ak in January... Honestly I don't see how they can make two shows about this place... It's cold and that's about it... Get ready to see a show about a bunch of people bundled up and avoiding the outside... Sure it's warming up now so I guess they can film it during the summer, but the winter? I don't think there's really much to see in the winter...
