Stroller Review: UPPAbaby G-Lite
The Basics: The stroller weighs 8.3 pounds. Good from 6 months to 40 pounds. 18.5 inches at the widest point when it's unfolded. Collapses to 11 by 12 by 42 inches.
The Lowdown: Finding a lightweight stroller that won't break the bank and is still sturdy enough for daily use can be a challenge, but UPPAbaby's G-Lite fits the bill. At 8.3 pounds, this stroller is light enough to hoist anywhere (think overhead airplane storage compartments). It even features a shoulder strap so you can take it anywhere with ease. The G-Lite can be collapsed with one hand. Plus, it has a self-standing fold, making it super easy to store.
The G-Lite is a warm-weather stroller. The sleek mesh seats will keep passengers cool during the warmer months, but won't offer much protection from the elements once temperatures drop.
UPPAbaby is known for its durable strollers. Like any lightweight stroller, the wheels on the G-Lite are pretty flimsy. Rolling over anything but a smooth surface can be difficult. Still, the frame of the stroller feels strong and decidedly more robust than comparable strollers.
Parents who are looking for something slightly more heavy duty should check out UPPAbaby's G-Luxe model. For an additional $50 and two more pounds, you'll get less flimsy wheels and a bit more storage.
You'll Want It If: You're looking for a light-weight or travel stroller that is stylish and functional, and won't cost you a fortune.
The UPPAbaby G-Lite Stroller is available for $130 on Amazon.
