Will SJP start a baby carrier trend? Credit: Mike DiSciullo, Bauer-Griffen
Who are you wearing? Chanel? Gucci?
No, Bjorn. BabyBjorn.
Style icon and star of the upcoming Sex and the City 2 movie, Sarah Jessica Parker hit the streets of New York on Monday in huge black shades and an all-gray ensemble, including a matching BabyBjorn modeled by one of her adorable twin girls. (Extra style points go to SJP's daughter for pulling off the baby mohawk.)
Carrie Bradshaw might not ever rock this look, but if she did, we're certain she'd find a way to balance a BabyBjorn while wearing a pair of Blahniks.

Carol said...I have some issues with this picture. The sun is out -- Sarah has sunglasses on; where is her daughter's hat? She is walking the streets of New York -- her daughter's face is totaly unprotected from smoke, debris, cigarettes thrown from car windows, if she walks into a crowd, how can she protect her face from elbows, bags? She would have to cover her face with her hands instead of cradling her head and protecting her face if she were being carried facing her. I see this all the time.

LindaS said...You are so right Carol.. and where are the babies pants to cover her legs.. yes it may be getting warmer out but not warm enough for the baby to go with bare legs.. what is wrong with some of these stars?? Just like Katie Holmes always has a coat on and hat yet Suri in the dead of winter in NY only has on a sweater and high heels.. I gringe each time I see pictures of that little girl.. not becuase shes not adorable but because the way her mother dresses her.. do you agree?

CLM said...Carol, have you ever even been to NY? It might not really be that sunny. A lot of celebs in NY wear sunglasses in the (vain) hope they might be able to go out without someone taking a photo of them. If it is a relatively short walk (as many walks in NYC are), there is nothing wrong with a child being out without a hat. Let the kid get some Vitamin D for crying out loud. Even more to the point, I lived in NY for over a decade, and I don't recall ever getting getting hit by debris, elbows, or flying cigarettes from cars.

Candice said...Ugh! I hope the writer was kidding about the high heels while carrying a baby.....if you fall and hurt your baby, its your own damn fault! Furthermore, SJP thinks its great to put on her shades but the baby doesnt even get a hat......my daughter refuses to keep a hat on so I can understand....but I still carry one and still try to protect her.

Vee Rose said...Thank you! I was just about to type this! I am happy that someone else in the world realizes how developmentally inappropriate this is for a child. I don't see how facing a child outward even looks correct to a parent.
