"Real Housewives of New York City" star Bethenny Frankel gave birth to daughter Bryn Hoppy on May 8, People magazine reports.
Bryn was born at 8 a.m. in New York City, weighing 4 pounds, 12 ounces, according to Frankel's rep. She is the first child for Frankel and husband Jason Hoppy, who wed March 28.
On her Twitter page, the new mom writes: "I can't express how happy I am&how beautiful,supportive&thoughtful u all are.Bryn is a tiny beautiful peanut.new chapter begins.thank you."
Of course, with the "Housewives" involved, even childbirth wasn't without drama.
On May 7, Frankel's "frenemy" Jill Zarin posted this premature, erroneous message on Facebook: "Heard Bethenny had a baby boy ... so happy for her and son. So happy for them," the New York Daily News reports.
Hundreds of commenters criticized Zarin for her blunder, so she posted an apology on Facebook: "Yesterday [my daughter] read a tweet and blog that Bethenny gave birth. We were excited and congratulated her obviously prematurely. I should have waited until B announced it herself. Sorry."
Sounds like season two fodder for Frankel's new Bravo reality show, "Bethenny Getting Married?," which premieres on June 10.

Jill Zarin has shown herself this season in a very bad light. She is constantly bad mouthing, constantly mean-spirited. In every single instance where someone wanted to apologize to Jill for wronging Jill in some way, Jill blocked the apology. She then inexplicably gets angry that the other person is upset.
To Jill Zarin: It is documented how Betheny wanted so many times to talk to Jill and work it out, but Jill refused for no good reason. One time she said that she "didn't have her notes" with her with her listed perceived gripes. WHY would anyone buy your book Jill, when you sickly keep a list of perceived gripes about friends. You can't move on with friends and make up, with a list of gripes laying around.
Attention Jill Zarin, if a friend tells you to get a hobby, and is very busy for a few months with work, family, new boyfriend, you are supposed to be UNDERSTANDING. That is what a friend is for, to be there through the ups and downs.
