Was your child born with an e-mail address, a blog and a Facebook account?
Maybe it's time to unplug.
The quirky new Zubels toys are eco-friendly, hand-knit cotton toys and delightfully low-tech. The adorable characters include Ar-nee the pirate, Toothy Al the alligator and Pretty Pearly Penny the mermaid.
In addition to being free of plastic or metal parts, they're hand washable and start at under $15. Did we mention that they don't make any noise?

Maga Heath said...I saw an article in "Parents" magazine that recommended toys for babies, and up. I ordered from one of the vendors, Zubels. Today the toy arrived with a tag that said "made in China"!!! I'm horrified!! As a grandmother I'm under a lot of pressure to make sure the toys, etc I get for my grandbabies are safe. I thought something that Parents recommended would be OK....I'm very upset and angry!!

Being made in China is not a bad thing. Remember these are made
of 100% cotton knit - "thats all folks just cotton" they contain no lead , no moving parts and are tested safe by US standards. If this is still a big problem - please return your China made sample to my company and i will replace them with another zubel that is made in another country. If a cotton toy made in China horrifies you with the problems we have in to days society - we may have bigger problems

Mary said...Your creatures are adorable. However, I recently bought the caterpillar rattle for my 5 month old granddaughter. After playing with the caterpillar less than 24 hrs. the threads attaching the eye and back segment of the caterpillar have come loose and the pieces are pulling apart.
The eye coming loose is my greatest concern, as this appears to be a safety concern for children under the age of 3 yrs. Your advertising states, "All Zubels characters have been tested safe and are suitable for ages from birth and up." The eye coming loose is a choking hazard!
At a price of $16. I did expect a better quality and a product that is safe for the ages indicated. As cute as this line is, I do not trust the safety of this item for young children.
Sincerely,
Mary
