VKing is a version of the popular Swedish lawn game Kubb, which, legend has it, was invented by the Vikings centuries ago. Fun for adults and kids 5 and older, each game takes about five or 10 minutes to play, so it's great for little ones with short attention spans.

The object of VKing is to knock down the opposing team's shields with your battle axes, and then defeat the king. Translation: Throw wooden sticks at wooden blocks, and then knock down the big block with the crown on it to win the game. It's easy to set up almost anywhere outdoors.

Start now and you could be ready for the Kubb World Championship tournament in Gotland this August.

Available at VKing for $99.
