Tired Mom Gets Revenge on Snoring Dad With YouTube Video
Filed under: Media, Funny Stuff
Revenge is a dish best served on YouTube.
So thinks our pal, Amy Armstrong of Champaign, Ill. Armstrong's a busy lady who needs her sleep -- she has a teenage son, a 4-year-old daughter, and 6-month-old twin girls.
Her ability to catch some shut-eye is hampered by the snoring of her husband, Andy, captured here in this hilarious video she shot while he slept away, blissfully unaware that his wife was about to share his nasal cacophony with the world.
Dads, let this be a lesson to you: Wear your Breathe Right Strips, or brace yourself for viral video infamy.

Dwight Morrow said...Although the snoring is funny, it may be a sign of a more serious problem such as sleep apneia. He should have a sleep study and find out. This could help stop the snoring and give the wife some rest at night.

Michele said...Maybe instead of trying to embarrass her husband, she should have him see his Doctor and have a sleep study done? Sounds like a sleep apnea possibility to me. She might just save his life.

C E said...I am with you. She should not have put it on the Internet. She should have used it to get him to see an ENT specialist. He may have sleep apnea, which can be fatal.
Obviously, she is an airhead who wants to be "cute" instead of being a concerned wife.

NOT ONLY IS IT BAD FOR THE PERSON DEALING WITH THE SNORING,BUT,VERY UNHEALTHY FOR THE PERSON DOING IT! IT CAN PUT STRESS ON YOUR HEART,LUNGS AND CAUSE LACK OF OXYGEN TO THE BRAIN! ONLY AFTER RECORDING MY HUSBAND DID HE AGREE TO GO TO THE DR. TO GET CHECKED! SO SOMETIMES IT PAYS OFF!(ALTHOUGHT I WOULDN'T BE SO CRUEL AS TO POST IT ON YOU TUBE!!)

Apnea Patient said...I agree with "Concerned Wife"on this one. I am a "Sleep Apnea" sufferer, and it is indeed dangerous. While the snoring is one symptom, it is the least of the problem. People who suffer Sleep Apnea will literally stop breathing multiple times during the night, and will wake up gasping for air. I am one of those. I tested out as having over 500 Apnea episodes in a single night, and one time I went over 3 minutes without breathing! This is no joke and definitely does NOT belong on You Tube as some form of entertainment.
There are some medical processes that may help in some cases. There is a device called a CPAP, which is a snorkel type of unit that fits over the nose and keeps a constant positive air flow so the sufferer's throat remains open. IN my particular case, this was not an opition, There is also a surgery procedure, which I received, which helps, but not only does it have less than a 50% chance of fixing the Apnea problem, it creates new issues. In this procedure, the doctors remove the Uvulla from the back of your throat and aportion of the upper pallate, which leaves your throat more open.
The bad part I found about this? I now have to be extremely careful about how I eat and swallow any food or drink. If I don't, I end up with food or drink going up into my sinuses or straight to my lungs. If I cant a cold or have allergy issues, the junk in my sinuses flows straight to my lungs and I end up hacking like a 40 year smoker. The last way to fic Sleep Apnea is by far, the most undesireable. That is a permanant tracheatomy, or an open hole in your throat just below the adams apple. So, if you think snoring is funny, think again...

natosha said...geez I have to kick my dog out of the bedroom at night to. he wakes me up with his snoring more than my 9 mo old daughter does through out the night.I got revenge on my hubby for constantly letting the dog back in the room, by being a horrible snorer in the last couple months of both of my pregnancies. you would think I would beused to it though, my dad would shake the house and keep everyone awake with his nightly snoring..figures he would have finally gone to see a doc after I had already moved out of the house for 10 years lol. then again 30 years ago it wasnt known that snoring was caused by sleep apnea and could kill you.

Needless to say...we now have separate bedrooms or else I would have had him move out...may sound mean..but we all need sleep and not having it can be a danger to our health,

ohstops said...I think he may have sleep apnea which I have and should be checked by a doctor, this is a serious medical condition.People do die from sleep apnea and they certainly do from the underlying conditions, of hypertension etc.The man that is snoring is NOT getting a good nights sleep.Sleep apnea is treated by using cpap equipment at night during sleep which fills the airway and prevents the snoring and periods of when breathing stops.
Making fun of a disability for which the person has no control is tasteless and the most disgusting thing I have ever seen.To me it is the same as making fun of someone on crutches, wheelchair, or who stutters. Can no one empathize with the man with the problem, who being laughed at for his condition?
