What you need: You need two buckets of water, two sponges and two pitchers.

How to play: Divide kids into two teams and have them stand in two single-file lines. At the front of each line, place a bucket filled with water. At the back of each line, place a pitcher with a line drawn on it. The players at the front of the lines both get a sponge.

The rules: The player at the front of the line has to dip her sponge in her buckets of water, trying to soak up as much water as possible. She then passes the sponge over her head to the next person in line, who then passes the sponge between his legs to the person behind him. This continues until the sponge gets to the last person in line, who then squeezes the water out of the sponge into the pitcher. At this point, everyone moves back one position so that the person who was in the back of the line is now in the front of the line. The sponge passing process continues until a pitcher is filled.

How to win: The first team to fill its pitcher up to the line drawn on it wins.

What else you need to know: If a team passes the sponge the wrong way (not over the head, then between the legs), its sponge must be squeezed out on the ground, and the team must start over.
