I'm confused - how is it environmentally friendly when you're probably throwing away and not refilling the metal canisters that the "fizz" comes in?

Aol's stupid article once again got me to click onto this story. This product is for sparkling water. What the hell doe's it have to do with soda drinks? Like I'm going to add WATER to my soda? Besides, I personally don't drink ANY backwash, no matter how much fizz is in it.

if you loosely apply the cap and squeeze the bottle as you tighten the cap. It will squeeze out the excess air and it will work too plus its free.

you turn the canisters in and they are refilled

OMG I just saw the infomercial this morning! On it you get 2 flavor bottles too that each makes 33 cans. Wow the stuff you remember at 5 AM...lmao!
I don't think I want to spend the $99.99 especially since I have no clue what the replacement of fizz cartrigdes will be.

Yeah, right... thanks again AOL... the title says "Ways to keep soda from going flat"... nothing in the article (after I stupidly clicked on it) was buying some stupid product that I'd never use.

"Mark:" Did you somehow receive some misinformation? Let me clear this up for you: AOL hires no one who (A.) Bothers to read the articles before writing the headlines; (B.) bothers to check all the facts when writing an article/blog; (C.) concerns himself with such petty things as English grammar and sentence structure; (D.) is capable of proofreading/editing; (E.) has any idea what "the five Ws and an H of journalism" are, and what purpose they serve.
As another example, read the article "Celeb duo secretly separated in '09." AOL has these people separating before they even got married, and protecting a baby who wasn't yet born at the time of the separation. Typical AOL incompetence!

This is not an article, or even an advertorial; this is an advertisement, plain and simple. As such, it's misleading journalism, and AOL will quickly lose readership with these kinds of shoddy tactics.
PS: I've been told that if you keep bottles of soda upright (instead of flat or tilted on an angle), it keeps the fizz longer. And don't refrigerate bottled soda until you're pretty much ready to drink it.

Mark, isn't that annoying. In the meantime, want to keep your soda from going flat? DON'T put it in the refrigerator after you open it (or before). It will last a week on the counter once you open it but make sure you screw the lid on tight. Ever since finding this out, it frees up the space in the refrigerator (that would save you money, too!) Try it and be impressed. I was when I found out.

I like to buy fizzy water and mix it with juice instead of drinking soda, and I was recently wondering if there was a way to make water fizzy at home instead of buying bottles of it. This product sounds cool, but no way am I going to spend that much money on it.

back in the day they made a tablet called fizzie it turned water into a flavored drink...wonder what happened to them????

If you squeeze the soda bottle and then put the cap on tight, the suction formed by the bottle trying to return to it's "natural" state keeps the soda from going flat... or so it seems to me.

Just drink the soda, already, before it goes flat. Or better yet, just drink water, it's better for your health. This seems like a big waste of money.

HOW IS THIS A NEWS ARTICLE. IT'S SIMPLY AN ADVERTISEMENT AND ANYONE WHO PAYS $100.00 FOR THIS DESERVES TO HAVE A FLATTER WALLET.

We clicked on because it said "Ways to keep soda from going flat."
Nothing there about that.

They make seltzer bottles that have been around for 60 years. Remember the shows that would have a clown spray water in someone's face? It's the exact same thing but this is sleek and a money trap for yuppies who want a stream lined version. It uses nitrous oxide or Co2 catridges like homemade whip cream canisters use. This is a recycling of a very old product. Think back to soda jerks (way before my time since I'm only 29). The best way to keep a soda bottle from going flat is to swirl it a lil or agitate it slightly to get some fizz in the bottle and tightly put the cap on it while there is still some disturbance and bubbles in the bottle. It will last for a while. Maybe I should write for AOL.... hahaha. Hope this was informative at the very least for someone.

The article headline may be a bit misleading but the machine works. I own one and with the different flavors you buy it make very good soda. Kinda cool to have a different flavor in small bottles and have it instantly available. The smaller bottle you make it in is better and takes just a minute to make. I will keep using mine.
