Kirsten Cook said...My daughter lost her FIRST tooth on her 6th birthday, so the tooth fairy brought a giant Barbie mylar balloon and a brand new CRISP $5 bill! She also left a little note saying how proud she was of her for pulling it out all on her own & being SO brave! My daughter was THRILLED!! =)

Cyndy said...At 5 1/2, my twins haven't lost any teeth just yet ~ but I LOVE the idea of a new toothbrush, their favorite toothpaste (which btw is COLGATE ~ they will NOT use anything else!!!), dental floss, and a funny mirror to check their teeth. I might leave them a quarter like I received when I was a child, but certainly NOT $5 or $10 per tooth! That is just CRAZY in MY opinion!

TERI SU GARSKE said...Well, the tooth fairy brings odd amounts cash. Sometimes she has big bills in her wallet and other times lots of change. The two front teeth and molars bring in more cash ($3 to $5) than the smaller teeth since they probably hurt a little coming out. Santa usually brings the tooth pillow around the 5 yr Christmas....that way its all ready to go!! What's endearing is when the kiddos leave a note for the fairy asking how her night went and if she's tired yet from all the flying around! :o)

Nona said...When my daughter lost her 1st tooth, she received $1. Every tooth after that, she receieves a dollar more than the last. The Tooth Fairy even gave her a $10 bill for a molar she has removed at the dentist. Sometimes the tooth fairy hides her tooth in the house for my daughter to find later to add to her baby memory box!

MommyBonnie said...When my daughter lost her first tooth, she received $5 but it's been all downhill from there. Sometimes $1 but usually what change there is in my wallet. That is except for the time that my parents were visiting. Apparently, the tooth fairy leaves an extra $20 if you have company.
