Used in schools in Italy since the 1930s, this sweet-smelling adhesive is non-toxic, solvent-free and acid-free. Works great on paper, cardboard and photos, so it's perfect for school dioramas, collages and poster presentations -- but also handy for scrapbooking and photo albums.
The paste comes in a vintage-style silver tin with an applicator brush, and is also available in glue stick form, so your kids can pop one in their pencil case.
Available at See Jane Work for $8.
