Sure would be nice to have a whole week to use a coupon, especially since some of us only get out to eat once a week, like on a Saturday. Or am I the only one annoyed about this. Applebee coupons in the newspaper are good for a month. Grocery coupons are good for several months, so what's with this good for 3 days?

Robert Barber said...In regards to the Photo Magnets For You site and the 25 free magnets offer:
When we launched Photo Magnets For You we had a certain number of magnets that we were able to give away for free with NO shipping. Last weekend we received massive amounts of traffic which not only crashed the system, but the orders we received prior to the crash depleted that number of totally free magnets. We thought it would take weeks to do so, but it took only two days. Our site went from several hundred viewings a day to over 40,000 viewings a day...literally overnight.
We had to decide if we were going to simply quit offering any special offers and just sell at retail, or try to offer another deal of some sort. Since our budget for totally free magnets was exhausted we elected to offer free magnets WITH shipping charges. This way we can continue to offer a good deal, though not quite as good as completely free. The time frame was such that we weren't able to change the offers in the many sites where it had been posted before adding the shipping charge. Even with the $8 shipping charge it figures out to about 32 cents per magnet delivered to your doorstep. It's not completely free, but it's still one heck of a deal.
We have been manufacturing magnetic promotional products since 1986, but we have always been B2B (business to business.) We sell to realtors, restaurant chains, hospitals, etc. This was our first attempt at selling directly to consumers. New products...new customer base...new business model. The response caught us completely off guard.
Our design tool was developed from the ground up. Even though we knew it wasn't perfect we put it on-line in order to solicit comments from the users. Our IT staff are in the process of making it more user friendly using comments we received from customers as a guide. The tool bar at the top of the page is destined for a major revamping, and some of the tools in the design tool window itself will be made easier to understand and manipulate. Unfortunately that is not a process that can be done over night.
Hopefully this will clear up some of the questions about Photo Magnets For You. If you have more questions you can contact us via our website. www.photo-magnets-for-you.com
Thanks,
