John said...For larger items, say major appilances: Having worked for the Whirlpool Corp for a number of years, as has many of my family, we are aware that a Sears Kenmore washer is in fact a Whirlpool, just at a better price. Sears will run 10%, 15% off, that is as good a Whirlpool empoylee's discount gets. And they are built by the same ppl that build Whirlpools-also they tend to last, if used right!

sears now has 10 builders of the kenmore products 1 of which is whirlpool but there are 9 other vendors that now supply thier products

Mark said...While at a TGI Fridays in Bloomington MN, I ordered a cheeseburger and the waiter asked if I wanted to do a survey about the cheesburger I ordered. They had 3 burgers that qualified for the survey and they gave you a $5 gift card for completing the survey. I did it twice and I had all my friends do it too while we were in town for a convention.
