The Parents Television Council is upset about a photo shoot where cast members from the hit show "Glee" show a little too much, ahem, school spirit.
TV Guide reports that the watchdog group feels that the pics are too sexy, and even "borders on pedophilia," according to a statement. PTC President Tim Winter expressed concern that children would see the "near-pornographic" images and declared that "the show's direction ... isn't good for families."
The pictures will appear in an upcoming issue of GQ, and were posted online earlier this week.
What do you think? Do you agree with PTC President Tim Winter, who says that the photos are "just the latest example of the overt sexualization of young girls in entertainment?" Do the pics make you rethink "Glee" as a family show?

Luke said...Does THIS PICTURE LOOK like it's FAMILY?????!!!!! I'd say definently NOT!!!!! Kids shouldn't see garbage like this and it's a shame anyone does for that matter. Some things should be left to the home bedroom, not the tv screen! If you're looking for family friendly entertainment, try some of the free games offered at Save Creatively - Http://bit.ly/GamesForFree As a family, we enjoy playing them and the entire site is decent!

K said...It's not pedophila. Not only are the actors all adults, even the characters would likely all be considered consenting adutls as the shwo is set in Ohio. In the state of Ohio the age of consent is in sixteen years old.
Is it "family friendly"? Well, maybe not for a 10 year old, but neither is the storyline of Glee either!

Heather said...Would you expect anything else from a GQ cover? I wouldn't exactly call it a family show either. It is aimed at teens and older.

Michelle said...The show has always been very sexual. We have never let our kids watch it. Same goes for basically anything on Fox or the CW.
