Adventures in Sex City, a cartoon-y Canadian video game designed to teach young people about safe sex, was introduced in February of 2010 and caused some controversy. But it was popular enough that Ontario's Middlesex-London Health Unit is rolling out a sequel, according to CNews.
In the game, players choose one of four different characters -- with names like Wonder Vag and Captain Condom -- to battle the evil Sperminator, who has penises for hands. (No, really. We're not joking. Check it out here.) They "fight" by answering questions about sexual activity.

Alicia said...That is fantastic! I sort of want this video game for myself. And hey, if it'll help lessons stick and increase safe sex and decrease teen pregnancy, I see nothing wrong with it!

Lauren said...I dunno, I think its more important to learn about sex from the parents. Then again, I don't plan to teach my kids about safe sex either. I believe in abstinence til marriage. I think we sell kids short when we tell them that they can't control their hormones.

Besides I swore (though my family was never abstinence-only) that I'd wait til marriage. Turned 18 and one day just decided I was tired of being virgin. Glad I new about condoms because otherwise that could've been a huge mistake.
