Vince said...Generally, for both kids and adults, it is important to steer clear of sugars and carbohydrates. They are the reason there is an obesity problem in this country. Also, they are the primary contributors to diseases of civilization such as diabetes and heart disease.
However, a once a year binge isn't going to do anything. Halloween is a great holiday that many adults enjoy, partly due to their fond memories of the holiday as a child. I say let 'em rip, and if you're lucky they'll crash early.

Gertrude Cash said...I think the reasons for obesity in children are: We Have people from different ethnic backgrounds in this country.The baby fat is normal for some of them: We can't let our children outside unless we are with them, for fear that they will be kidnapped or worse: The electronic games are so enticeing: In some neighborhoods, the children could get hurt by someone with a gun, shooting anywhere they point: (had this problem 46 years ago). etc. I wish it were like it was when I walked to school alone, and played outside without a worry.

Loretta said...I Think That It is up to parents to decide the amount of candy there child show have. They know ther children the best,& they are not Kill Joy Of candy. They just know each of there children limits, so let them enjoy
this holiday just as we did in our childhood.
