Thanksgiving is almost here, and that means Christmas is just around the corner. No matter what holiday you celebrate, gift-giving is usually a part of the festivities.
Although the economy as a whole is in much better shape than it was two years ago, unemployment is still high and many people are struggling to make ends meet.
With that in mind, are you cutting back on holiday gifts this year? Or are you spending like it's 1999?

sherri peters said...if you gave gifts out of love and not duty and didn't have to shower someone with expensive presents at a certain time of the year, things wouldn't have to be so expensive and burdensome. i like making gift bags full of small items people will actually use. you can even usually get the stuff free from Http://bit.ly/FreebieHomepage and the person you're making the gift bag for would never even know you didn't have to go broke over them. they make great anniversary gifts!

Alicia said...I don't have kids, so I don't have to give a ton of presents, but I have money to really blow on people this year and I'm in Ireland studying abroad, so I'm having fun finding beautiful things for my family and friends.

In my home we are going okay...Thanks be to god" but instead of showering our children and grandchildren with lots of uncessary gifts we will be concentrating on the true meaning of CHRISTmas once again. They getting plenty through out the year. Merry CHRISTmas to all our readers and their loved ones.
