Black Friday is a big deal for retailers. In recent years the prices have become increasingly competitive.
Still, how early are you willing to wake up, even for a cheap television? Is it really worth it to shake off your food coma, drive to the mall and fight with a bunch of other crazy people just to save a few dollars? Or is it actually worth it, because we're really talking about saving a few hundred dollars?
What about you? Are you going to hit the Black Friday sales this year? Or just stay home?

Caitlin Ludgrove said...I'm going to online, both Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I've been searching around today for the sites offering the best soon-to-be deals. So far Http://bit.ly/CouponSavings has had the best sales I've found. Of course you can't buy most of the stuff until midnight tonight, but I'm making my plan of action for using their discount codes since the percentages off were so big. A lot of them included Free Shipping too!

But I refuse to go out on principal. Others have said it much more eloquently than me, but we've got our priorities seriously messed up in this country, at this time of year. On Wednesday, I read an article about a woman who forced her family to celebrate Thanksgiving on Wednesday so they could "rest up" and be ready to go at midnight Friday (AM). This has gotten WAY out of hand....people literally living for all the things they can get, and in the process becoming horrible human beings---selfish, ignorant and rude. I refuse to be part of it.

I did all of my shopping through kidealy.com. They don't sell anything, they just find the best deals from retailers like toys r us, etc. I love it and it's fun to get in your email every day.
