Hearts for Hearts Girls is a charitable doll line featuring six dolls representing different countries. There's Consuelo (Mexico), Lilian (Belarus), Dell (United States), Nahji (India), Rahel (Ethiopia) and Tipi (Laos). Dressed authentically, each girl comes with a friendship bracelet and a booklet explaining how she lives and contributes to her family, community, country and world.
Each doll also comes with a code to unlock a free membership to hearts4heartsgirls.com, an online community for elementary school-age girls and tweens offering games, activities and real stories of girls making a difference around the world.
A portion of the proceeds from each doll sold goes to help children from that doll's country. We just love a gift that gives back -- as they say, one heart at a time. At heartsforheartsgirls.com, $29.99.

Char said...As a young adult who loves dolls (especially to customize), I like the look of these dolls and the message they send. I'm glad doll companies are starting to get away from the Barbie and Bratz skankiness and starting to produce dolls that are more realistic.
My only question is, where are they made? If they are from China, are the working conditions fair?

Alicia said...I've been looking for a Christmas gift for the little girls I take care of. The boys are bought for because they had no bones about telling me exactly what they wanted, the girls not so easy.
I'm thinking three of these will be making their way to my house soon.

Morning Dove said...This is nice but the unfortunate thing is Playmates is a Chinese company that knocked off this brilliant idea and concept from Karito Kids by KidsGive. It is despicable that they would stoop so low as to meet with KidsGive, run by two mom entreprenuers, and then feign that this is their original idea and concept. As a mom, I can't support this or anything that Playmates (the Chinese owned company) would make. Please pass this along to all your friends as I am sure you wouldn't want to be supporting these theives either.

Riley said...This doll is the just most gorgeous doll I have ever seen.
It is age appropriate, very high quality and is perfect
for my daughter who is adopted from Belarus. The beautiful package
even has Russian words and her story is about real children in
Belarus. I like knowing that money will go to World Vision which is all about helping children. They are very reputable and would not
be involved with a bad product that would hurt someone. Children all over the world need our help. I will buy another one.
