Breakdancer, 8, Busts a Move to Become YouTube Star
Filed under: In The News, Weird But True, Amazing Kids
Angelo Baligad flips and spins -- practically defying gravity -- as he performs tricks that would send most of us to the hospital.
The 8-year-old miniature breakdancer from Hawaii, known as Lil Demon, battles competitors "more than twice his size and several times his age," according to London newspaper the Daily Mail. And, despite his youth, he puts his opponents to shame.
It's no wonder this kid's moves have made him an Internet sensation, with almost half a million YouTube views.
"Wow! Totally mind blowing athletic choreography," one YouTube commenter says. "The future belongs to the young -- and with such skills it'll be a beautiful future."
Check out his ridiculous moves.

Jim said...Really? After seeing the kid's great effort, all you do is post some lame cr*p about inner city youth? What?! This story is about HIM, not them. Besides, as far as you know, this kid IS an inner city youth. Jeez, some people are just as dumb as rocks.

You can get everything for WAY less than you would on bidcactus or any other place. It's definitely number 1 in my book, and I've tried 'em all!

But the overall winner was the older guy. The 8 year old cannot put very good break dancers to shame. People only say that he does because he is little. And I wouldn't listen much to praise about America's culture coming from London. London barely can dance. Like I say in knowing how to dance - the overall winner was the older guy!

I’m well aware of who the story is about and that the child may be from the inner city, although, to my knowledge, Hawaii is generally not associated with decayed environments. The story acclaimed the child, which was fine, but I noticed the omission of the long-established origins of the alleged “sensation.” It seems that creative ideas from the inner city are often overlooked and gain “legitimacy” only after the mainstream decides to latch on to them.
