Swiss parliament may be giving a new meaning to the term "brotherly love." They have drafted a law that would repeal incest laws so that family members could have sex, if they so pleased.
Some claim incest laws are obsolete because there have only been three cases in the past three decades, The Telegraph reports.
Daniel Visher, a Green Party MP, is in favor of the law. "Incest is a difficult moral question, but not one that is answered by penal law," he told The Telegraph. Pun intended? We're not sure.
The Protestant People's Party and The Christian People's Party of Switzerland are on the opposite side, claiming incest should remain punishable. Who ever said Switzerland was neutral?
A spokesperson for The Protestant People's Party points out the obvious, "Murder is also quite rare in Switzerland but no one suggests that we remove that as an office from the statutes."

Switzerland, Germany, and a few other countries are known for having a high number of White Nationalists. I believe they would easily resort to incest to make sure it stays "in the family". Pun intended.

Alicia said...Not really any less creepy. Granted, I've sometimes wished I came from a mixed race or non-white family just because I think darker skinned women are gorgeous. However, considering that viewpoint, I probably have very little empathy for white nationalists.

I am truly very,very sorry for your experiences.But your two stepfathers were probably never brought to justice and many such people don't. Abuse will still be punishable but I think they are talking about consenting adults. I believe the majority of people will be guided by their moral compass and do the right thing.

I believe that it's more disgusting to compare it to murder, personally. I doesn't hurt us, It doesn't affect us, and it certinally doesn't KILL us; it's none of our business. It's already legal in multiple U.S states. Pursuit of happiness, have at it.

Abigail said...No, this only applies to consenting adults, it has absolutly nothing to do with children. It's about whether a government has the right to control what two grown individuals do in their own sex lives when it doesn't affect any unwilling parties.
