DVD: "The Yellow Handkerchief"
Despite the presence of "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart, "The Yellow Handkerchief" is not a tween-friendly film. The story revolves around a misfit group of strangers traveling together in search of love and redemption in New Orleans. Stewart's character is sexually assertive and, although ultimately uplifting, the film is far too mature for young teens. Rated PG-13, iffy for kids 14-16

Weaving real history with fantasy, "Behemoth: Leviathan Trilogy, Book 2" is a science fiction adventure story set at the beginning of World War I. Picking up where the first book left off, the story features positive role models in the young heroes and surprisingly little violence. OK for kids 12+
Music: "No Hands" by Waka Flocka Flame
An uninspired rap single by Waka Flocka Flame, "No Hands" is your typical ode to drinking, drugging and partying. With graphic sexual references, extremely crude language and an overall negative message, this one is inappropriate for tweens and even teens. Iffy for kids 17
Games: "TouchMaster: Connect"
For Nintendo DS and DSi, "TouchMaster: Connect" is a basic collection of puzzles, strategy, action and card games. Although the games themselves are nothing new, they are kid-friendly and easy to play. Rated E, OK for kids 8+
