valerie boadway said...I was talking to my 5 year old daughter about why smoking is bad for you. And we were having a long drawn out discussion about addiction and why she should never start smoking. How people who start can stop and how it causes cancer. She looked at me and said... "Mom, Im always going to remember that we talked about this, and when someone asks me if i want a cigarette, Im just going to say 'no thank you' to them. Because I will remember what you said. Thanks Mom". I would have loved to catch that on camera. She is so funny, she talks like an adult. And I'm sure she will remember, that girl remembers EVERYTHING! lol

Amanda Sylvester said...I wish that we would have been able to videotape any of my three labor or deliveries. I have no videos at all from my oldest two children, and I feel hugely guilty about that. I would have loved for them to see themselves on video one day and how silly they were as babies!

Mrs. V. said...I have 3 boys and instead of catching the biggest of life's moments on video, I would capture the intimate ones. I wish I could've recorded my boys running around pretending they were airplanes, or playing monsters with their homemade paper plate masks, and the first time they helped change their new brothers diaper and how excited they were for a job well done.

Greta said...We've managed to catch a lot of great events in our daughter's life on film (birth, first laugh, first steps, first swim etc), but the things I wish I had recorded more often are the everyday moments, just candid conversations and mannerisms. Like I wish I could secretly tape our discussions as we're walking home from school, all the things she's telling me about her day in 2nd grade, hearing her express herself and articulate in a way I didn't know she could - that's magic. In fact I wish I had recordings of my own musings as an 8-year-old!

Katryna said...As a new mom we are celebrating a lot of "firsts"... I would have loved to record the first time she rolled over and the first time she laughed to share these moments with my husband (who was at work at the time), and our family. Winning this video camera would be a real gift to share!
