How to Use Google Safe Search

- Elementary school-aged children should not be searching online without an adult present or without some filters.
- Excellent filters exist, but they need installation and cost money.
- A low cost, quick solution is to change your settings on Google search.
- Go to "Preferences" when you are on Google and click Safe Search.

angela ingle said...there's also ways to put filters on your web browsing that can be helpful. it scans for key words in the web-pages you're trying to bring up and if it catches anything questionable it stops loading and you have to give it the okay to continue. we like using Http://Bit.Ly/coolflashgames for free games and safe place for kids to play online. there's no membership or groups to join or chat with. just family friendly games.
