You were overcome with happiness and tears when your baby started to crawl on his own. A few weeks later, you found yourself out of breath and exhausted from chasing your little cruiser all over the house.
You realized it was time to baby proof the house. Safety gates are essential to ensure your child's safety, but chunky plastic gates? Not so chic.
Munchkin gates combine safety and style, and we're giving away three designer wood and steel models.
Enter to win by leaving us a comment below telling us about your baby's first crawl or step.

Kim said...My son would not walk and when he was 13 months old, we were at the store and he really wanted this big bouncy ball so we bought it. When we got home, my husband and I were playing with it and our son wanted it but we were teasing him with it. Well, we figured since he wouldn't walk, he couldn't get it. To our surprise, he got up and started walking! And all it took was a ball!

He was walking and running...I think Tre was totally jealous because Kasen could stand up and didnt have to crawl around to get where he wanted to go. Since then, we cant Tre to sit still. We have a couple of gates now, but you can never have too many!!

Amy L said...My youngest daughter learned to roll, rather than crawl at about 4 months. She was so fast at rolling across the floor, that even when she did learn to crawl, she would roll instead.

Shandell said...My son rolled to get around for along time, which somehow morphed into an army crawl. Belly always dragging on the ground. It was hilarious to watch, and he got REALLY fast. He basically went from this to cruising and skipped the traditional crawl on all fours.

Maria said...My son's first steps were a surprise. After showing no interest in walking, he just decided to pull himself up holding onto the living room couch and basically lunged across the floor.
